Abstract

ABSTRACT Sari, Lisa Novita. 2024. Developing Audio-visual Media Using Steve.AI For Teaching Writing. Thesis. English Education Study Program. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Universitas Jambi in Academic year 2023/2024. The first supervisor is Dr. Fortunasari, S.S., M.A.. The second supervisor is Dr. Rd. M. Ali, S.Pd, M.Pd. The English teacher that teaches tenth grade of Darul Arifin Jambi has difficulties in finding the audiovisual media that has Islamic background as media in teaching writing. This research aims to develop an Audiovisual media to overcome that difficulty. The development of the audiovisual using Steve.AI and follows the five stages of the ADDIE model namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and evaluation. The data for this research were collected using questionnaires and then analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The result of this research was a product of audiovisual media called Sacred script : Writing Technique which accommodates students’ needs and preferences in learning three text types at tenth grade which is descriptive text, recount text and procedure text. The product is strongly feasible from media and content validity. The result of students’ responses indicated as excellent response with total percentage 88,93%.
