Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis preferensi petani terhadap varietas unggul, dan menganalisis atribut manakah yang paling dipertimbangkan petani dalam keputusan menggunakan varietas unggul di Desa Pudak Kecamatan Kumpeh Ulu. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Pudak dan dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari sampai Maret tahun 2024, Teknik penarikan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik judgement sampling, yaitu pengambilan sampel berdasarkan kriteria-kriteria yang telah dirumuskan oleh peneliti di dalam populasi sebanyak 221 orang petani responden. Total sampel sebanyak 37 orang petani yang menggunakan varietas unggul dalam usahataninya untuk konsumsi sesuai dengan kriteria yang telah dirumuskan peneliti. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis konjoin dan analisis Multiatribut fishbein. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa preferensi petani terhadap benih varietas unggul yaitu petani menyukai jenis benih Inpara 3 dengan nilai estimasi utilitynya yang besar dan positif (,375). Petani lebih menyukai benih padi dengan kemasan kantong. Hal ini dilihat dari nilai estimasi utilitasnya yang besar yaitu (,098). Petani sampel lebih menyukai benih padi yang dibeli dari penangkar benih dilihat dari nilai estimasi utilitynya yaitu (,051). Terakhir benih varietas unggul dengan kualitas beras pulen lebih di sukai oleh petani sampel dilihat dari nilai estimasi utilitynya yaitu (,125), dan berdasarkan analisis Multiatribut Feshbein atribut yang paling dipertimbangkan petani dalam keputusan menggunakan varietas unggul di Desa Pudak Kecamatan Kumpeh Ulu Kabupaten Muaro Jambi adalah jenis benih. Sedangkan untuk urutan atribut dari yang paling dipertimbangkan sampai dengan kurang dipertimbangkan adalah jenis benih, jenis beras, tempat pembelian benih, terakhir dan kemasan benih. Kata Kunci: Preferensi, Petani, Benih Varietas Unggul ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze farmers' preferences for superior varieties, and analyze which attributes are most considered by farmers in the decision to use superior varieties in Pudak Village, Kumpeh Ulu District. This research was conducted in Pudak Village and was carried out from February to March 2024, The sampling technique in this study used judgment sampling technique, namely sampling based on criteria that have been formulated by researchers in a population of 221 farmer respondents. The total sample was 37 farmers who used superior varieties in their farms for consumption according to the criteria formulated by the researcher. The analysis method used is conjoin analysis and Multiatribut fishbein analysis. The results showed that farmers' preferences for superior variety seeds were that farmers liked the Inpara 3 seed type with a large and positive utility estimation value (.375). Farmers prefer rice seeds with bag packaging. This can be seen from its large estimated utility value of (.098). Sample farmers preferred rice seeds purchased from seed breeders as seen from the estimated utility value of (.051). Finally, superior variety seeds with fluffy rice quality are preferred by sample farmers judging from the estimated utility value of (.125), and based on Feshbein's Multiattribute analysis, the attributes most considered by farmers are (.125), and based on the Feshbein Multiatribut analysis, the attribute most considered by farmers in the decision to use superior varieties in Pudak Village, Kumpeh Ulu District, Muaro Jambi Regency is the type of seed. As for the order of attributes from the most considered to the least considered are the type of seed, type of rice, where to buy seeds, last and seed packaging.
