Abstract

ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Berdasarkan laporan kecelakaan kerja PT. Hok Tong Jambi, terjadi peningkatan kasus kecelakaan kerja dari 10 kasus pada tahun 2019 hingga menjadi 22 kasus pada tahun 2022, dimana sebagian besar kecelakaan kerja disebabkan oleh perilaku tidak aman yang dilakukan pekerja. Hal ini bukanlah yang diharapkan, maka dari itu diperlukan pendekatan keselamatan kerja yang dapat digunakan untuk mengurangi kecelakaan di tempat kerja. Salah satu cara untuk menggunakan strategi keselamatan yaitu iklim keselamatan. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan iklim keselamatan (safety climate) dengan perilaku keselamatan (safety behaviour) pada pekerja PT. Hok Tong Jambi. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif yang mana desain penelitiannya adalah cross sectional. Populasi pada penelitian ini berjumlah sebanyak 160 orang dengan sampel yang dapatkan sebanyak 113 orang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, yaitu dengan pengambilan sampel yang dilakukan berdasarkan pertimbangan tertentu untuk mencari sampel yang sesuai dengan kriteria. Adapun variabel independent dalam penelitian ini adalah iklim keselamatan dan variabel dependen adalah perilaku keselamatan. Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat dengan menggunakan uji korelasi spearman dengan confidence interval 95%. Hasil: Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan distribusi frekuensi perilaku keselamatan dengan total nilai minimum 38 dan total nilai maximum 130. Sedangkan distribusi frekuensi iklim keselamatan dengan total nilai minimum 104 dan total nilai maximum 197. Ada hubungan antara iklim keselamatan dengan perilaku keselamatan dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,0558 (p < 0,000). Kesimpulan: Ada hubungan iklim keselamatan dengan perilaku keselamatan pada pekerja PT. Hok Tong Jambi. Kata Kunci: Iklim Keselamatan, Perilaku Keselamatan, Industri. ABSTRACT Background: Based on the work accident report of PT. Hok Tong Jambi, there has been an increase in work accident cases from 10 cases in 2019 to 22 cases in 2022, where the majority of work accidents were caused by unsafe behavior by workers. This is not what is expected, therefore a work safety approach is needed that can be used to reduce accidents in the workplace. One way to use safety strategies is safety climate. Objectives: This study aims to analyze the relationship betweet safety climate and safety behavior among PT. Hok Tong Jambi workers. Method: This research uses quantitative research where the research design is cross sectional. The population in this study was 160 people with a sample of 113 people. Sampling uses a purposive sampling technique, namely sampling is carried out based on certain considerations to find samples that match the criteria. The independent variable in this research is safety climate and the dependent variable is safety behavior. Data analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate using the Spearman correlation test with a confidence interval of 95%. Results: The results of this study show the frequency distribution of safety behavior with a minimum total value of 38 and a maximum total value of 130. Meanwhile, the frequency distribution of safety climate with a minimum total value of 104 and a maximum total value of 197. There is a relationship between safety climate and safety behavior with a correlation coefficient value of 0,0558 (p-value = 0,000). Conclusion: There is a relationship between safety climate and safety behavior among workers PT. Hok Tong Jambi. Keywords: Safety Climate, Safety Behavior, Industry.
