Abstract

Background: Exclusive breastfeeding coverage in Indonesia is still below the target indicator for exclusive breastfeeding practices. Education about breastfeeding techniques aims to increase success in providing exclusive breastfeeding by increasing mothers' knowledge and skills in breastfeeding their babies. The intervention provided is in the form of an educational package using video and booklet media. This study aims to determine the effect of an educational package on breastfeeding techniques on the behavior and self-efficacy of breastfeeding mothers at the Jambi City Health Center. Method: This research is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental approach with a pre-test and post-test with control group design. The total sample for this research was 25 respondents in each treatment group and control group using accidental sampling. Results: Statistical tests using the Wilcoxon test showed that the behavioral results in the treatment group had a p-value of 0.001 (<0.05) and the control group had a p-value of 0.629 (>0.05), while for self-efficacy results in the treatment group the p-value was 0.001 (> 0.05) and control group p-value 0.122 (>0.05) Conclusion: There is a significant influence between the provision of educational packages on breastfeeding techniques via video media and booklets on the behavior and self-efficacy of breastfeeding mothers, where the treatment group that was given the intervention had good behavior and a higher level of self-efficacy than the control group that was not given the intervention. Keyword: Education Package, Breastfeeding Techniques, Behavior, Self-efficacy and Video. Latar Belakang: Cakupan ASI Eksklusif di Indonesia masih di bawah target indikator praktik ASI eksklusif. Edukasi tentang teknik menyusui bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keberhasilan dalam memberikan ASI eksklusif dengan cara meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan ibu dalam menyusui bayinya. Intervensi yang diberikan berupa paket edukasi dengan menggunakan media video dan booklet. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh paket edukasi teknik menyusui terhadap perilaku dan self-efficacy ibu menyusui di Puskesmas Kota Jambi. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan quasi-eksperimental dengan rancangan pre-test and post-test with control group. Jumlah sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 25 responden pada masing-masing kelompok perlakuan dan kelompok kontrol dengan pengambilan sampel secara accidental sampling. Hasil: Uji statistik menggunakan uji wilcoxon didapatkan hasil perilaku pada kelompok perlakuan p-value 0,001 (<0,05) dan kelompok kontrol p-value 0,629 (>0,05), sedangkan untuk hasil self-efficacy pada kelompok perlakuan p-value 0,001 (>0,05) dan kelompok kontrol p-value 0,122 (>0,05) Kesimpulan: Adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antara pemberian paket edukasi teknik menyusui melalui media video dan booklet terhadap perilaku dan self-efficacy ibu menyusui, dimana kelompok perlakuan yang diberikan intervensi memiliki perilaku yang baik dan tingkat self-efficacy yang tinggi dari pada kelompok kontrol yang tidak diberikan intervensi. Kata Kunci: Paket Edukasi, Perilaku, Self-efficacy, Teknik Menyusui dan Video.
