Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik sosial ekonomi petani kelapa sawit dan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pendapatan, jumlah tanggungan keluarga, pendidikan dan usia terhadap konsumsi petani di Desa Pulau Tujuh Kecamatan Pamenang Barat Kabupaten Merangin. Penelitian menggunakan data primer dan sekunder dengan jumlah sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 82 sampel diambil secara Proportional Random Sampling. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan analisis regresi linier berganda dengan SPSS 26. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan rata-rata umur petani kelapa sawit yaitu 48 tahun dengan tingkat pendidikan SMA/Sederajat serta jumlah tanggungan keluraga rata-rata 3 jiwa dan rata-rata pendapatan Rp. 2.615.763. Dari seluruh sampel yang digunakan pengalaman bertani 20 tahun, semua lahan yang dikelola berstatus milik pribadi dengan luas rata-rata 2 Ha, umur tanaman kelapa sawit rata-rata 18 tahun, jumlah produksi 1.354 Kg, harga jual Rp. 2.194, rata-rata konsumsi pangan Rp. 1.329.902, konsumsi non pangan Rp. 978.293 dan total konsumsi Rp. 2.308.195. Hasil model regresi linier berganda menunjukkan bahwa variabel pendapatan dan jumlah tanggungan keluarga signifikan terhadap konsumsi petani kelapa sawit sedangkan variabel pendidikan dan usia tidak signifikan terhadap konsumsi petani kelapa sawit. Kata Kunci : Pendapatan, Jumlah Tanggungan Keluarga, Pendidikan, Usia, Konsumsi ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the socioeconomic characteristics of oil palm farmers and to analyze the effect of income, number of family dependents, education and age on farmers' consumption in Pulau Tujuh Village, West Pamenang District, Merangin Regency. The study used primary and secondary data with the number of samples used as many as 82 samples taken by Proportional Random Sampling. Data were analyzed descriptively and multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS 26. The results of this study show that the average age of oil palm farmers is 48 years old with a high school education level / equivalent and an average number of family dependents of 3 people and an average income of Rp. 2,615,763. From all the samples used with 20 years of farming experience, all the land managed is privately owned with an average area of 2 hectares, the average age of oil palm plants is 18 years, the total production is 1,354 Kg, the selling price is Rp. 2,194, the average food consumption is Rp. 1,329,902, the non-food consumption is Rp. 978,293 and the total consumption is Rp. 2,308,195. The results of the study showed that income and the number of family dependents were significant to the consumption of oil palm farmers while the variables of education and age were not significant to the consumption of oil palm farmers in Pulau Tujuh Village, West Pamenang District, Merangin Regency.
