Abstract

Abstrak Toko kelontong merupakan salah satu jenis usaha kecil menengah yang berperan penting dalam perekonomian lokal, yang menyediakan kebutuhan sehari-hari bagi masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sosial ekonomi pedagang toko kelontong dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pendapatan Toko Kelontong di Kecamatan Paal Merah Kota Jambi. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian survei dengan metode pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode analisis data yang digunakan analisis deskriptif, untuk menggambarkan secara sistematis fakta dan karakteristik dari responden, dan analisis kuantitatif yang digunakan untuk menganalisis tujuan penelitian yaitu faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi pendapatan toko kelontong di Kecamatan Paal Merah dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda melalui program SPSS. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah sejumlah pedagang toko kelontong yang ada di Kecamatan Paal Merah yaitu sebanyak 216 pedagang, dengan jenis sampel nonprobability sampling yaitu teknik pengambilan sampel yang tidak memberikan peluang yang sama, dan sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 68 responden. Berdasarkan karakteristik sosial dan ekonomi pedagang toko kelontong yang ada di Kecamatan Paal Merah memiliki rata-rata berumur 41 tahun dengan mayoritas berjenis kelamin perempuan, dengan tingkat pendidikan SMA/Sederajat, dengan status pekerjaan rata-rata merupakan pekerjaan utama, dengan rata-rata jumlah jam kerja selama 12 jam dan jumlah tanggungan memiliki rata-rata 4 orang, serta lama usaha dengan rata-rata 7 tahun. Hasil analisis regresi berganda pada penelitian ini menujukkan bahwa variabel modal dan jam kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pendapatan toko kelontong, sedangkan variabel lama usaha tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pendapatan pedagang toko kelontong di Kecamatan Paal Merah. This research aims to determine the socio-economics of grocery store traders and the factors that influence grocery store income in Paal Merah District, Jambi City. The research used is a survey research method with a quantitative approach. The data analysis method used is descriptive analysis, to systematically describe the facts and characteristics of respondents, and quantitative analysis is used to analyze the research objectives, namely factors that can influence grocery store income in Paal Merah District using multiple linear regression analysis through the SPSS program.. The population in this study was a number of grocery store traders in Paal Merah District, namely 216 traders, with a nonprobability sampling type, namely a sampling technique that does not provide equal opportunities, and the sample in this study consisted of 68 respondents. Based on the social and economic characteristics of grocery store traders in Paal Merah District, the average age is 41 years, the majority are female, with a high school/equivalent education level, with the average job status being the main job, with the average number of hours work for 12 hours and the number of dependents has an average of 4 people, and the length of business is an average of 7 years. The results of multiple regression analysis in this study show that the capital and working hours variables have a significant effect on grocery store income, while the length of business variable does not have a significant influence on the income of grocery store traders in Paal Merah District.
