Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adanya masalah rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dan penggunaan media pembelajaran yang monoton. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh penggunaan media canva terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI pada mata pelajaran PPKn di MA Labor UIN STS Jambi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di MA Labor UIN STS Jambi pada bulan januari 2024. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif, penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam quasi experimental design atau metode eksperimen semu. Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah varibel dependen (variabel terikat) dan variabel independen (variabel bebas). Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA yang terdiri dari 2 (dua) kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel ini menggunakan teknik sampling total. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes. Hasil penelitian dapat diketahui, rata-rata skor posttest 69,60% dengan kategori “Kritis” dan rata-rata skor pretest 37% dengan kategori “Kurang Kritis”. Kemudian nilai sig. (2tailed) pada kemampuan berpikir kritis 0,000<0,05. Dengan demikian Ho ditolak dan Ha di terima. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran canva terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran PPKn di kelas MA Labor UIN STS Jambi”. Dari hasil penelitian disarankan proses pembelajaran dapat menggunakan media canva pada pembelajaran PPKn terbukti kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir kritis mengalami perubahan yang lebih baik. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, sebaiknya guru dapat menggunakan model pembelajaran media canva untuk menyampaikan materi pelajaran agar siswa dapat berpikir kritis. The background of this study is the problem of low critical thinking skills of students and the use of monotonous learning media. The purpose of this study was to determine how much influence the use of canva media has on the critical thinking skills of class XI students in Civics subjects at MA Labor UIN STS Jambi. This research was conducted at MA Labor UIN STS Jambi in January 2024. The approach used in this research is quantitative, this research is included in the quasi experimental design or pseudo experimental method. The variables used in this study are dependent variables (dependent variables) and independent variables (independent variables). The population of this study were students of class XI IPA consisting of 2 (two) classes. This sampling technique uses total sampling technique. Data collection techniques using the test method. The results of the study can be seen, the average posttest score is 69.60% with the category "Critical" and the average pretest score is 37% with the category "Less Critical". Then the sig value. (2tailed) on critical thinking ability 0.000 <0.05. Thus Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an effect of using canva learning media on students' critical thinking skills in Civics subjects in the MA Labor UIN STS Jambi class". From the results of the study, it is suggested that the learning process can use canva media in Civics learning to improve students' ability to think critically. Therefore, teachers should use the canva media learning model when delivering subject matter to improve students' ability to think critically. Keywords: Canva Media, Critical Thinking, Civics.
