Abstract

ABSTRAK—Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh suhu pengeringan daun bidara terhadap karakteristik kimia simplisia daun bidara dan untuk mendapatkan suhu pengeringan daun bidara yang tepat untuk menghasilkan simplisia daun bidara dengan kualitas yang terbaik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 4 taraf perlakuan suhu pengeringan (T1=30C, T2=40C, T3=50C, T4=60C) dan 4 kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suhu pengeringan daun bidara berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap rendemen daun bidara, aktivitas antioksidan, kadar air dan kadar abu simplisia daun bidara. Perlakuan suhu 40C merupakan perlakuan terbaik dalam proses pengeringan simplisia daun bidara dengan nilai aktivitas antioksidan tertinggi yaitu sebesar 62,92%, rendemen 49,23%, kadar air 8,93 %dan kadar abu sebesar 7,58%. Kata Kunci — Daun bidara; simplisia; suhu pengeringan ABSTRACT—This research aimed to determine the effect of drying temperature on the chemical of bidara leaf simplicia and to get the right drying temperature to produce the best quality bidara leaf simplicia. This research used Randomized Group Design (RAK) method with 4 levels of drying temperature treatment (T1=30C, T2=40C, T3=50C, T4=60C) and 4 replications. The results showed that the drying temperature of bidara leaves had a very significant effect on the yield of bidara leaf simplicia, antioxidant activity, moisture content and ash content of bidara leaf simplicia. The temperature treatment 40C is the best treatment in the drying process of bidara leaf simplicia with the highest antioxidant activity value of 62.92%, yield of 49,23%, moisture conte ntand ash content of 7.58%.
