Abstract

The Language Learning Strategies in International Class Batch 2021 At English Education Study Program Jambi University A Thesis. English Education Study Program. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Jambi University in Academic Year 2023/2024. The first supervisor is Drs. Saharudin, M.Ed., M.App.Sc, Ph.D. The second Supervisor is Dr. Reli Handayani, S.S., M.Pd. This qualitative research aims to determine What language learning strategies that students use to in international class. Data for This research was collected through questionnaire and interview students in International class batch of 21 in education study program, Jambi university.The data Were analyzed using Rubin theory that divided into six types of language learning Strategies: Memory strategies, Cognitive strategies, Compensation strategies, Metacognitive strategies, Af ective strategies ,Social strategies. Based on the research Results, there are 2 most strategies used by students international class. Cognitive and Social are the most used with average 3.28 and 3.18 and the rest strategies like Compensation strategies 3.15, Metacognitive strategies 3.08, Memory and Af ective Strategies with 2.72.
