Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini berjudul “Determinan Ketimpangan Distribusi Pendapatan Di Pulau Sumatera” Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : 1) mengetahui dan menganalisis dinamika perkembangan ketimpangan pendapatan serta 2) menganalisis pengaruh PDRB, populasi, inflasi, IPM dan IP-TIK terhadap ketimpangan pendapatan pada Provinsi di Pulau Sumatera Tahun 2018-2022. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis kuantitatif dan analisis deskriptif berupa data sekunder yang bersumber dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) dari tahun 2018-2022 dengan alat analisis regresi data panel dibantu dengan menggunakan alat analisis software Eviews 12. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan ketimpangan pendapatan di setiap provinsi di Pulau Sumatera berfluktuatif keculi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung yang terus mengalami penurunan selama periode tahun penelitian. variabel PDRB berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap ketimpangan pendapatan, variabel populasi berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap ketimpangan pendapatan, variabel inflasi dan indeks pembangunan manusia berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap ketimpangan pendapatan serta variabel indeks pembangunan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap ketimpangan pendapatan di Sumatera. Kata Kunci : Ketimpangan Pendapatan, Produk Domestik Regional Bruto, Populasi, Inflasi, Indeks Pembangunan Manusia, Indeks Pembangunan Teknologi Informasi Komunikasi ABSTRACT This research is entitled "Determinants of Income Distribution Inequality on the Island of Sumatra." This research aims to: 1) determine and analyze the dynamics of the development of income inequality; and 2) analyze the influence of GRDP, population, inflation, HDI, and ICT-DI on income inequality in provinces on the island of Sumatra from 2018 to 2022. The research method used in this research is quantitative analysis and descriptive analysis in the form of secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) from 2018–2022, with panel data regression analysis tools assisted by the Eviews 12 software analysis tool. The research results show that the development of income inequality in each province on the island of Sumatra fluctuates except for the Bangka Belitung Islands, which continues to decline during the research year period. The GRDP variable has a positive and significant effect on income inequality; the population variable has a positive and insignificant effect on income inequality; the inflation variable and the human development index have a negative and insignificant effect on income inequality; and the information and communication technology development index variable has a negative and significant effect on income inequality in Sumatra.
