Abstract
Desa Karak Apung, Kecamatan Bathin III Ulu, Kabupaten Bungo, Provinsi Jambi. Karak Apung Village, Bathin III Ulu District, Bungo Regency, Jambi Province. Physiographically, the research area is located in the Barisan Hills zone which is the magmatic arc route of Sumatra Island. The aim of this research is to determine the geological structure of the research area which includes geomorphology, stratigraphy, geological structure and geological history of the research area, determine the characteristics of granite in the research area and determine the petrogenesis of granite in the research area. The method used in this research is a field survey which will then be correlated with petrographic analysis and XRF (X-ray Fluorescence) analysis so that rock types, magma series and rock tectonic environments can be obtained. The geology of the research area is quite complex, there are morphological units of volcanic hill landforms (V1), volcanic valley landforms. The flow patterns that are developing are rectangular and centrifugal. There are 5 fault structures which are dominated by strike-slip faults, namely the Pinang Fault, Selembak Fault, Petal 1 Fault and Petal 2 Fault, Karakapung Ilir Fault. There are 3 rock units found in the research area, namely Granodiorite, Tonalite and Syenogranite. Based on the results of the petrographic analysis, the name of the rock Syenogranit was obtained and from the geochemical analysis that was carried out, the name of the rock was known, namely Granite with the minerals consisting of Alkali Feldspar, Quartz and Plagioclase. The calc alkaline magma series, where magma originates from continental crust, can be found in island calc-alkaline basalt tectonic environments.
