Abstract

Background: Data the Jambi Provincial Mental Hospital, inpatients with mental disorders reached 5,010 people in 2018.no one most common nursing diagnosis problems that is sensory perception disorders, hallucinations, as many as 4,320 sufferers. The impact that occurs on someone with auditory hallucinations is such as losing the ability to control themselves so that they are easily attacked by panic, excessive fear, and bad behavior such as doing things that are dangerous for themselves. Auditory hallucinations need appropriate treatment. Efforts that nurses can make to control patient hallucinations apart from taking medication are also standard implementation of communication and therapy to control hallucinations non-pharmacologically, one of which is by watching video therapy. The aim is to be able to implement video watching therapy to reduce the signs and symptoms of hallucinations in hallucinating patients. Method: This data is collected through observation, interviews, documentation, observation sheets for signs and symptoms of hallucinations and observation sheets for the ability to control hallucinations. Results: The results of the case study for 6 days showed that there was a decrease in the signs and symptoms of hallucinations in Mrs. H using the observation sheet from a score of 16 to a score of 2 signs and symptoms of hallucinations and in Mrs. A from a score of 16 to a score of 3 signs and symptoms of hallucinations. Conclusion: There was a decrease in the score of signs and symptoms of hallucinations after implementing nursing care, namely video watching therapy for Mrs. H and Mrs. A.
