Abstract

In providing stages of guidance to prisoners, the class IIA Jambi correctional institution also provides health services to prisoners, which is one of the programs of the coaching section. The health service program is important to carry out considering that a prisoner's human rights are often forgotten, the data on the number of medical visits in prison from 2021-2023 every month continues to increase. The level of density or overcapacity that occurs in the Jambi Class IIA Correctional Institution greatly affects how health services occur in the prison. Through this study, it aims to be able to determine and analyze the quality of health service in the Jambi prison. The theory used is service quality according to Zeithaml, Parasuraman, and Berry with the indicators used being direct evidence, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. Using a mix method method in the form of questionnaires, interviews, documentation along with observation. In measuring the quality of health services in Class IIA Jambi Correctional Institution, the overall result of the questionnaire assessment is 318 with a percentage of 71%, the results showed that the Prisoner Health Service in the Correctional Institution was quite optimal. This is evidenced by the five indicators contained in the acquisition of questionnaire scores and interviews, in these five indicators, what is quite good is the direct evidence indicator, this is obtained with an average value of 348 with a percentage of 77% in the agreed category, as evidenced by the results of observations and documentation stating that the availability of rooms, administration and waiting rooms is quite adequate. Then in the assessment of the lowest indicator is the guarantee with an average value of 290 and the percentage is 64% including in the category of less agree, this can be proven by the existence of complaint services provided by the prison by telephone, email, or visiting directly into the prison.
