Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh persentase ampas kopi liberika terhadap karakteristik body scrub serta untuk mendapatkan persentase ampas kopi liberika yang tepat terhadap karakteristik body scrub. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan perlakuan (0, 3, 5, 7, 9%) ampas kopi dan 4 ulangan sehingga didapatkan 20 satuan percobaan.. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase ampas kopi liberika berpengaruh terhadap analisis pH, daya sebar, daya lekat, kestabilan emulsi, viskositas, uji organoleptik (warna, aroma, tekstur, penerimaan keseluruhan) namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap homogenitas dan uji iritasi pada body scrub yang dihasilkan. Perlakuan persentase ampas kopi yang tepat yaitu ampas kopi 7% dalam karakteristik body scrub dengan nlai pH 5,85, nilai daya sebar 4,07 cm, nilai daya lekat 6,65 detik, nilai viskositas 56.340 cP, tidak mengalami iritasi, nilai warna 4,0 (coklat), nilai aroma 4,32 (beraroma kopi), nilai tekstur 3,64 (agak kasar), dan nilai penerimaan keseluruhan 4,04 (suka). This research aims to determine the effect of the percentage of Liberica coffee grounds on the characteristics of body scrubs and to obtain the correct percentage of Liberica coffee grounds on the characteristics of body scrubs. This research used the Completely Randomized Design (RAL) method with treatment (0, 3, 5, 7, 9%) of coffee grounds and 4 replications to obtain 20 experimental units. The results showed that the percentage of Liberica coffee grounds had an effect on pH analysis, spreadability , adhesion power, emulsion stability, viscosity, organoleptic tests (color, aroma, texture, overall acceptability) but did not have a significant effect on the homogeneity and irritation tests of the body scrub produced. The correct percentage of coffee grounds is 7% coffee grounds in body scrub characteristics with a pH value of 5.85, a spreadability value of 4.07 cm, a stickiness value of 6.65 seconds, a viscosity value of 56,340 cP, no irritation, a color value of 4 .0 (chocolate), aroma value 4.32 (coffee-scented), texture value 3.64 (slightly rough), and overall acceptability value 4.04 (like).
