Abstract

ABSTRAK KEANEKARAGAMAN JENIS TUMBUHAN BAWAH YANG BERPOTENSI SEBAGAI TANAMAN HIAS DI JALUR PENDAKIAN GUNUNG TUJUH TAMAN NASIONAL KERINCI SEBLAT (Kesi Lestari dibawah bimbingan Ir. Nursanti, S.Hut., M.Si,. IPM. Dan Cory Wulan, S.Hut., M.Si). Hutan adalah suatu ekosistem dengan banyak komponen dan mempunyai tingkat keanekaragaman hayati yang tinggi. Hutan adalah gudang plasma nutfah dari berbagai hewan (fauna) dan jenis tumbuhan (flora). Apabila hutan rusak maka dipastikan terjadi erosi plasma nutfah (adanya pengurangan tumbuhan asli), yang akan mengakibatkan punahnya berbagai kehidupan yang sebelumnya ada di hutan dan adanya penurunan keanekaragaman hayati (Indriyanto, 2006). Hutan pegunungan tropis di Pulau Sumatera kaya akan keanekaragaman jenis tumbuhan dan keragamannya termasuk yang terbesar dibandingkan wilayah lainnya di dunia (Normasiwi et al., 2015). Salah satu hutan pegunungan tropis di Sumatera yaitu kawasan Hutan Gunung Tujuh Taman Nasional Kerinci Seblat (TNKS) yang diperkirakan masih memiliki keragaman jenis flora yang tinggi. Salah satu potensi yang ada di Kawasan Gunung Tujuh adalah keanekaragaman tumbuhan hias. Tumbuhan bawah (Understorey) merupakan tumbuhan yang berupa herba dan semak-semak yang menutup bagian bawah dari suatu kawasan hutan. Tumbuhan hias (ornamental plant) merupakan tumbuhan yang mempunyai nilai seni terdiri dari tumbuhan hias daun, tumbuhan hias pohon/batang dan tumbuhan hias bunga (Bukhari, 2007). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui mengidentifikasi jenis, mempelajari habitus serta menganalisis keanekaragaman jenis tumbuhan bawah yang berpotensi sebagai tanaman hias di jalur pendakian gunung tujuh TNKS. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Jalur Pendakian Gunung Tujuh TNKS. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode jalur berpetak berupa plot pengamatan berukuran 20 x 20 meter sebanyak total 16 plot, peletakannya sistematis secara zig-zag kanan dan kiri jalur pendakian Gunung Tujuh dari ketinggian 1.500 mdpl sampai dengan 2.100 mdpl. Setiap plot sampling dilakukan pengukuran suhu dan kelembaban. Hasil dari penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan di jalur pendakian Gunung Tujuh TNKS ditemukan 43 jenis tumbuhan bawah, dan 42 jenis diantaranya berpotensi sebagai tumbuhan hias. Habitus dari tumbuhan bawah yang berpotensi sebagai tanaman hias di jalut pendakian Gunung Tujuh TNKS yaitu epifit, herba, liana dan semak. Indeks keanekaragaman jenis tumbuhan bawah berpotensi tanaman hias di jalur pendakian Gunung Tujuh TNKS terkategori tinggi sebesar 3, 256, indeks kekayaan jenis sebesar 6,400 dan indeks kemerataan jenis sebesar 0,865. Kata kunci : Tumbuhan bawah, tumbuhan hias, gunung tujuh   ABSTRACT DIVERSITY OF UNDERSTORY SPECIES THAT HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO BE ORNAMENTAL PLANTS ON THE CLIMBING TRAIL OF MOUNT SEVEN OF KERINCI SEBLAT NATIONAL PARK (Kesi Lestari under the guidance of Ir. Nursanti, S.Hut., M.Si,. HDI. And Cory Wulan, S.Hut., M.Si). Forests are an ecosystem with many components and have a high level of biodiversity. Forests are a storehouse of germplasm from various animals (fauna) and plant types (flora). If the forest is damaged, it is certain that there will be germplasm erosion (the reduction of native plants), which will result in the extinction of various life that previously existed in the forest and a decrease in biodiversity (Indriyanto, 2006). Tropical mountain forests on the island of Sumatra are rich in diversity of plant species and their diversity is among the largest compared to other regions in the world (Normasiwi et al., 2015). One of the tropical mountain forests in Sumatra is the Gunung Tujuh Forest area of Kerinci Seblat National Park (TNKS) which is estimated to still have a high diversity of flora species. One of the potentials in the Gunung Tujuh area is the diversity of ornamental plants. Understorey is a plant in the form of herbs and shrubs that cover the bottom of a forest area. Ornamental plants are plants that have artistic value consisting of leaf ornamental plants, tree/stem ornamental plants and flower ornamental plants (Bukhari, 2007). This study aims to identify the types, study the habitus and analyze the diversity of lower plant species that have the potential to be ornamental plants on the climbing path of Mount Seven TNKS. This research was carried out on the TNKS Mount Seven Climbing Path. This research was carried out using a plotted path method in the form of an observation plot measuring 20 x 20 meters as many as 16 plots, the placement was systematic in a zig-zag right and left of the Mount Tujuh climbing path from an altitude of 1,500 meters above sea level to 2,100 meters above sea level. Each sampling plot is measured by temperature and humidity. The results of the research that has been carried out on the climbing route of Mount Tujuh TNKS found 43 types of undergrowth, and 42 of them have the potential to be ornamental plants. The habitus of underplants that have the potential to be ornamental plants on the climbing route of Mount Tujuh TNKS are epiphytes, herbs, lianas and shrubs. The index of the diversity of understory species with the potential of ornamental plants on the climbing path of Mount Tujuh TNKS is categorized as high at 3.256, the species wealth index is 6.400 and the species evenness index is 0.865.
