Abstract

The aims of this research is to how designing an interactive media for teaching English vocabulary for the second grader of SDN 47 Jambi city and how perception after used multimedia, The data were collected by using Questionaire and Interview. This research involved 10 (ten) young learners. 3 (three) for small group and 7 (seven) for big group. The finding indicated that most of the young learners learn and retain English vocabulary more easily in engaging ways.The method that was used in this research was Research and Development with Analysis phase, Design Phase, Development phase, Implementation Phase and Evaluation Phase as design or stand for ADDIE by LEE and OWN 2006. The steps was used in doing the research : Analyzing, Desining, Developing, Validiting (both media and material experts) giving questionnaire, Implimenting multimedia Interviewing student and Evaluating. The finding of this research multimedia for teaching vocabulary show that :1).Based on the data analysis coment and suggestion by validators learning multmedia which is in good category and suitable to use 2). Implementing the multimedia for young learners gave respons and conclusion that the multimedia is attractive for learning English, result of indicators aspect of showing and aspect of using multimedia of personal subject “Interviewing” of 7 (seven) student gave positif respon after using multimedia. Based onthe result of the researchmultimedia being developing is in good category, showing and using, suitable , easy acess, attractive display andvantage, content, language use to be applied in teaching learning because it can help student in understanding material easily.
