Abstract

Ultisol memiliki karakteristik kurang baik seperti kejenuhan Al tinggi, pH rendah, kandungan hara makro yang rendah seperti unsur N dan kangdungan bahan organik yang rendah seperti C-organik. Karakterisitik ultisol yang memiliki kemasaman tanah (pH) yang rendah menentukan mudah tidaknya unsur hara diserap oleh tanaman, menunjukkan kemungkinan adanya unsur beracun dan mempengaruhi perkembangan mikroorganisme. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk memperbaiki kesuburan Ultisol salah satunya yaitu dengan penambahan kompos ke dalam tanah. Pemberian kombinasi kompos kotoran sapi, Serbuk Gergaji, Abu Boiler dan batuan fosfat alam diharapkan akan tercipta perbaikan sifat kimia tanah yang akan mendukung pertumbuhan Kedelai (Glycine max L.). Penelitian ini dilakukan di kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi, Desa Mendalo Indah, Kecamatan Jambi Luar Kota, Muaro Jambi pada bulan September sampai bulan Desember. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) terdiri dari 7 perlakuan yaitu: K0 = Tanpa pemberian kompos, K1 = kompos 5 ton/ha, K2 = 10 ton/ha, K3 = 15 ton/ha, K4 = 20 ton/ha, K5 = 25 ton/ha, K6 = 30 ton/ha. Perlakuan diulang 3 kali dan setiap unit percobaan terdiri 4 tanaman/polybag sehingga pada penelitian terdapat 84 tanaman sampel. Variabel yang diamati yaitu C-organik, N-total, tinggi tanaman, jumlah polong dan Berat kering biji. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa kompos kotoran sapi, serbuk gergaji, abu boiler dan batuan fosfat alam dapat memperbaiki C-organik, N-total dan dapat meningkatkan tinggi tanaman, jumlah polong, berat kering biji dengan pemberian kompos 20 ton/ha Ultisol has unfavorable characteristics such as high Al saturation, pH low, low macro nutrient content such as N elements and low organic material content such as organic C. The characteristics of ultisol which has low soil acidity (pH) determines whether the element is easily absorbed or not nutrients are absorbed by plants, indicating the possible presence of toxic elements and influence development microorganisms. Effort Which can done For repair fertility Ultisol Wrong the only one that is with addition compost to in land. Giving combination compost dirt cow, Sawdust, Boiler Ash And rock phosphate natural expected will created repair characteristic chemistry land Which will support growth Soya bean ( Glycine max L.). Study This done in garden test Faculty Agriculture University Jambi, Village Mendalo Indah, Jambi Outer City District, Muaro Jambi from September to December. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consists of 7 treatments, namely: K0 = Without compost, K1 = compost 5 tons/ha, K2 = 10 tons/ha, K3 = 15 tons/ha, K4 = 20 tons/ha, K5 = 25 tons/ha, K6 = 30 ton/ha. Treatment be repeated 3 time And every units test consists 4 plants/polybags so that in the study there were 84 sample plants. Variable Observed were C-organic, N-total, plant height, number of pods and dry weight of seeds . Results study show that compost cow manure, Sawdust, Boiler Ash And rock phosphate natural can repair C-organic, N-total and can increase tall plant, number of pods, dry weight of seeds by application compost 20 tonnes/ha.
