Abstract

Abstrak Mantra merupakan serangkaian kata atau kalimat yang diucapkan dari mulut ke mulut, memiliki hubungan yang erat dengan kepercayaan dan budaya dalam masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan Transmisi Mantra Pengobatan Di Desa Parit Kecamatan Sungai Gelam Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang proses pengumpulan data berupa kata-kata dari mantra pengobatan. Teknik pengumpulan data yakni menggunakan observasi, dan wawancara. Untuk menentukan informan penulis mentukan dari syarat-syarat berikut: masyarakat asli Desa Parit, menguasai mantra pengobatan, sehat jasmani dan Rohani, berusia sekitar lima puluh tahun dan tujuh puluh tahun Data diperoleh dari informan ibu Sipah, bapak Zakaria. D dan ibu Sutina. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, dapat disimpulkan bahwa transmisi mantra terdapat pada Mantra Gatal-gatal, Mantra Keteguran, Mantra Temas, Mantra Bantut, Mantra Pemberhenti darah (luka), Mantra Bisa (bisa hewan), Mantra Bisa Ulat Bulu, Mantra Tawar Kembung, Mantra Urut Terdapat mantra jenis ilmu beleng (spotty magic) 5, ilmu putih (white magic) 4. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mantra memiliki tahapan transmisi yaitu pra-transmisi adalah persiapan awal penutur untuk menuntuk mantra seperti menyiapkan sirih pinang, transmisi adalah waktu mewariskan mantra biasanya dilakukan jam tertentu, dengan duduk berhadapan, dan pasca tansmisi adalah proses pematangan mantra yang telah didapatkan dari penuutr, setiap mantra memiliki persiapaan yang berbeda. Mantra ditransmisi kepada anggota keluargasebaiknya anak perempuan, juga bisa ditansmisi kepada yang bukan anggota keluarga dengan syarat yang sama. abstract Mantras are a series of words or sentences spoken by word of mouth, which have a close relationship with beliefs and culture in society. This research aims to describe the transmission of healing spells in Parit Village, Sungai Gelam District, Muaro Jambi Regency. The method used in this research is a descriptive type using a qualitative approach where the data collection process is in the form of words from treatment mantras. Data collection techniques use observation and interviews. To determine the informants, the author determined the following conditions: native people from Parit Village, mastering healing spells, physically and spiritually healthy, aged around fifty years and seventy years. Data was obtained from the informants, Mrs. Sipah, Mr. Zakaria. D and mother Sutina. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the transmission of spells is found in the Itching Mantra, the Reprimand Mantra, the Temas Mantra, the Bantut Mantra, the Blood Stopping Mantra (wounds), the Bisa Mantra (animal venom), the Caterpillar Venom Mantra, the Bloating Tawar Mantra, the Urut Mantra There are 5 spells of spotty magic, 4 white magic. The results of this research show that mantras have stages of transmission, namely pre-transmission is the initial preparation of the speaker to perform the mantra such as preparing betel nut, transmission is the time to pass on the mantra which is usually done at a certain time, by sitting facing each other, and post-transmission is the process of maturation of the mantra that has been obtained from According to the author, each spell has a different preparation. The spell is transmitted to family members, preferably daughters, and can also be transmitted to non-family members with the same conditions.
