Abstract

Indonesia adalah penghasil batubara terbesar di seluruh dunia, di antaranya yang terbesar terdapat di Pulau Sumatera dan Pulau Kalimantan. Penelitian dilakukan berlokasi do PT. Globalindo Alam Lestari, Desa Suo-Suo, Kecamamtan Tebo Tengah, Kabupaten Tebo, Provinsi Jambi. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan energi tersebut dilakukan upaya eksplorasi guna menemukan sumberdaya baru untuk dilakukan eksploitasi. Daerah penelitian berada pada Cekungan Sumatra Selatan pada formasi Muara Enim (Nmpm). Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kondisi geologi yang meliputi geomorfologi, struktur geologi dan stratigrafi serta mengetahui lingkungan pengendapan pada daerah penelitian, tidak hanya itu, dilakukan juga geometri lapisan bawah permukaan lapisan batubara. Lingkungan pengendapan kegiatan yang betujuan untuk mengetahui fasies sub-lingkungan pengendapan di atas permukaan dengan menggunakan data profil. Geometri lapisan batubara kegiatan yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui bawah permukaan lapisan batubara pada daerah penelitian menggunakan model geometri Batubara. Metode penelitian pemodelan endapan Batubara menggunakan section berupa on strike dan cross strike, dari data tersebut di analisis geometri batubara sehingga dari data tersebut di dapatkan tipe endapan batubara dan kondisi batubara yang berupa kompleksitas geologi di daerah penelitian dan metode penelitian pada lingkungan pengendapan menggunakan data lapangan dan lintasan statigrafi diukur. Selanjutnya, analisis penampang statigrafi yang dilakukan. Kesimpulannya bahwa kondisi penciri dari lingkungan pengendapan, dari hasil Analisa penampang statigrafi terukur yaitu Transitional lower delta plain kemudian sub lingkungan pengendapan daerah penelitian yaitu sub lingkungan pengendapan channel, crevasse splay, swamp, dan leveee. Geometri Batubara meliputi hasil Analisa section on strike dan cross strike yang terdapat kondisi geologi daerah penelitiana dengan aspek sedimentasi dan aspek tektonik termasuk dalam pengelompokan kompleksitas geologi tersebut yaitu kelompok sederhana hingga moderat. Indonesia is the largest coal producer in the world, of which the largest are on Sumatra Island and Kalimantan Island. The research was conducted at PT. Globalindo Alam Lestari, Suo-Suo Village, Tebo Tengah District, Tebo Regency, Jambi Province. To meet these energy needs, exploration efforts are carried out to find new resources for exploitation. The research area is in the South Sumatra Basin in the Muara Enim (Nmpm) formation. The aim of this research is to determine the geological conditions which include geomorphology, geological structure and stratigraphy as well as knowing the depositional environment in the research area, not only that, the geometry of the subsurface layers of the coal seams is also carried out. Depositional environment: activities that aim to determine the facies of depositional sub-environments above the surface using profile data. Coal seam geometry is an activity that aims to determine the subsurface of the coal seam in the research area using a coal geometry model. The research method for modeling coal deposits uses sections in the form of on strike and cross strike, from this data the geometry of the coal is analyzed so that from the data the type of coal deposit and coal condition can be obtained in the form of geological complexity in the research area and the research method on the depositional environment uses field data and the statigraphic trajectory is measured. Next, cross-sectional statigraphic analysis was carried out. The conclusion is that the characteristic conditions of the depositional environment, from the results of the measured statigraphic cross-sectional analysis, are the Transitional lower delta plain, then the depositional sub-environments of the research area, namely the channel, crevasse splay, swamp and levee depositional sub-environments. Coal Geometry includes the results of section on strike and cross strike analysis which contain the geological conditions of the research area with sedimentation aspects and tectonic aspects included in the geological complexity grouping, namely the simple to moderate group.
