Abstract
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan mendapatkan dosis biochar sekam padi terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan dari bulan Maret sampai Mei 2024 di lahan Teaching and research Farm Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi, Desa Mendalo Indah, Kecamatan Jambi Luar Kota. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), dengan satu faktor yaitu pemberian biochar sekam padi dengan 6 taraf perlakuan yaitu P0: 0 ton.ha-1 , P1: 5 ton.ha-1 , P2: 10 ton.ha-1 , P3: 15 ton.ha-1 , P4: 20 ton.ha-1 , P5: 25 ton.ha-1 . Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 4 kali ulangan, sehingga diperoleh 24 satuan percobaan. Setiap satuan percobaan terdapat 24 tanaman dan terdapat 6 tanaman sampel. Jumlah keseluruhan tanaman Sawi adalah 576 tanaman. Variabel yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman (cm), jumlah daun (helai), luas daun total (cm2 ), panjang akar (cm), berat segar total per tanaman (g), dan berat segar jual per tanaman (g). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pemberian Biochar sekam padi dengan dosis hingga 25 ton.ha-1 belum mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi. Namun dari kisaran dosis yang diuji, dosis 15 ton.ha-1 memiliki prospek yang lebih baik untuk diaplikasikan pada budidaya sawi. This study was conducted with the aim of determining the effect and obtaining the best dose of rice husk biochar on the growth and yield of mustard greens. This study was conducted for 3 months from March to May 2024 on the Teaching and Research Farm land of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jambi, Mendalo Indah Village, Jambi Luar Kota District. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with one factor, namely the provision of rice husk biochar with 6 treatment levels, namely P0: 0 tons.ha-1, P1: 5 tons.ha-1, P2: 10 tons.ha-1, P3: 15 tons.ha-1, P4: 20 tons.ha-1, P5: 25 tons.ha-1. Each treatment was repeated 4 times, so that 24 experimental units were obtained. Each experimental unit consisted of 24 plants and there were 6 sample plants. The total number of mustard greens was 576 plants. The observed variables were plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), total leaf area (cm2), root length (cm), total fresh weight per plant (g), and fresh selling weight per plant (g). The results of the study showed that the provision of rice husk biochar with a dose of up to 25 tons.ha-1 has not been able to increase the growth and yield of mustard greens. However, from the range of doses tested, a dose of 15 tons.ha-1 has better prospects for application in mustard greens cultivation.
