Abstract

LATAR BELAKANG Korban kekerasan seksual merasakan dampak negatif yang signifikan pasca kejadian yang mereka alami. Namun, seiring berjalannya waktu beberapa korban yang mengalami peristiwa traumatis pada akhirnya berhasil mengatasi dampak-dampak negatif yang mereka alami serta mampu untuk bangkit dan melewati rasa traumanya. Keadaan inilah yang disebut sebagai posttramatic growth. Posttraumatic growth membantu korban dalam mengurangi dampak jangka panjang akibat kejadian kekerasan seksual yang dialami. TUJUAN Untuk mengetahui gambaran dan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi posttraumatic growth pada remaja korban kekerasan seksual di Provinsi Jambi. METODE Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif fenomenologi. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis. Kriteria partisipan adalah remaja korban kekerasan seksual dengan rentang usia 12 sampai 18 tahun, berdomisili di Provinsi Jambi, telah mengisi skala Posttraumatic Growth Inventory. Partisipan dalam penelitin ini berjumlah tiga orang remaja perempuan. HASIL Proses posttraumatic growth yang terjadi pada partisipan yaitu ruminasi otomatis, pengungkapan diri, dan ruminasi terarah. Satu dari tiga pertisipan pada prosesnya melalui pengungkapan diri terlebih dahulu, diikuti ruminasi otomatis dan ruminasi terarah. Sedangkan faktor yang memengaruhi posttraumatic growth adalah dukungan sosial, optimisme, dan karakteristik lingkungan. KESIMPULAN Seluruh partisipan mengalami proses posttraumatic growth, yang mana dukungan sosial, karakteristik lingkungan, dan optimisme menjadi faktor-faktor yang membantu partisipan dalam proses posttraumatic growth. BACKGROUND Victims of sexual harassment experience significant negative effects following the events they have experienced. However, over time, some victims who have experienced traumatic events are able to overcome the negative effects they have experienced and are able to rise above and overcome their trauma. This is known as post-traumatic growth. Post-traumatic growth helps victims to reduce the long-term effects of sexual harassment. OBJECTIVE To determine the description and factors influencing posttraumatic growth in adolescent victims of sexual harassment in Jambi Province. METHOD The method used was qualitative phenomenology. Data collection methods used were in-depth interviews and observation. Data analysis used was interpretative phenomenological analysis. Participant criteria are adolescent victims of sexual harassment aged 12 to 18 years, residing in Jambi Province, who have completed the Posttraumatic Growth Inventory scale. A total of three adolescent girls participated in this study. RESULTS The posttraumatic growth process that occurs in participants is automatic rumination, self-disclosure and directed rumination. One of the three participants in the process went through self-disclosure first, followed by automatic rumination and directed rumination. Meanwhile, factors that influence posttraumatic growth are social support, optimism, and environmental characteristics. CONCLUSION All participants experienced the posttraumatic growth process, where social support, environmental characteristics and optimism became factors that helped participants in the posttraumatic growth process.
