Abstract
Lahan rawa di Indonesia memiliki peranan strategis dalam pengembangan pertanian, terutama dengan meningkatnya penduduk dan industri serta berkurangnya lahan subur akibat konversi lahan. Lahan rawa pasang surut yang berpotensi di Indonesia untuk dijadikan lahan pertanian sekitar 8.535.708 ha. Sekitar 2.833.814 ha sudah mengalami reklamasi. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi pemanfaatan lahan rawa adalah kedalaman lapisan pirit. Ketika pirit terpapar, dapat meningkatkan kemasaman tanah dan melepaskan logam berat seperti Fe dan Al, yang berbahaya bagi tanaman. Semakin dangkal lapisan pirit, semakin tinggi kemasaman tanah, sehingga membuat pengelolaan lahan sulfat masam menjadi sulit untuk produksi tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari serta mengetahui sebaran kedalaman mineral sulfida (pirit) pada tanah sulfat masam. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Serdang Jaya, Kecamatan Betara, Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat, Provinsi Jambi. Penelitian berlangsung selama ± 2 bulan, yaitu bulan April-Juni 2024. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pemetaan sebaran kedalaman pirit di lahan pasang surut, sebagai kajian pertimbangan dalam mengambil tindakan terhadap pengelolahan lahan sehingga tidak terjadi proses marginasi lahan di sebabkan oksidasi pirit, faktor yang di analisis di lapangan yaitu kedalaman pirit dengan meneteskan H202 30%, ketinggian muka air tanah, tutupan lahan, zona wilayah dan pasang surut, kemasaman (pH) tanah, tipe luapan, tipologi lahan. Swampland in Indonesia has a strategic role in agricultural development, especially with the increase in population and industry and the reduction of fertile land due to land conversion. The potential tidal swamp land in Indonesia for agricultural use is around 8,535,708 ha. About 2,833,814 ha have been reclaimed. One of the factors affecting the utilization of swamp land is the depth of the pyrite layer. When pyrite is exposed, it can increase soil acidity and release heavy metals such as Fe and Al, which are harmful to plants. The shallower the pyrite layer, the higher the soil acidity, thus making the management of acid sulfate land difficult for crop production. This research aims to study and determine the depth distribution of sulfide minerals (pyrite) in acid sulfate soil. This research was conducted in Serdang Jaya Village, Betara District, West Tanjung Jabung Regency, Jambi Province. The research lasted for ± 2 months, namely April-June 2024. This research was conducted to determine the mapping of pyrite depth distribution in tidal land, as a study of considerations in taking action on land management so that there is no land margination process due to pyrite oxidation, factors analyzed in the field are pyrite depth by dripping 30% H202, groundwater level, land cover, regional and tidal zones. soil acidity (pH), overflow type, land typology.
