Abstract

ABSTRAK Kayu manis (Cinnamomum burmannii.Blume) merupakan tanaman yang berasal dari genus Cinnamomum dalam keluarga Lauraceae. Tanaman kayu manis ini terkenal karena kulit batangnya yang memiliki aroma dan rasa khas. Kulit kering kayu manis banyak digunakan dalam industri makan, minuman farmasi serta kosmetik. Sehingga membuat kulit kering kayu manis banyak di ekspor ke berbagai negara. penggunaan MOL menjadi penunjang kebutuhan unsur hara dalam tanah. Larutan MOL mengandung unsur hara makro, mikro dan mikroba yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai perombak bahan organik, perangsang pertumbuhan, dan mengendalikan hama serta penyakit tanaman. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis pengaruh pemberian MOL bonggol pisang terhadap pertumbuhan bibit kayu nanis dan mendapatkan konsentrasi MOL bonggol pisang yang terbaik pada pertumbuhan bibit kayu manis. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 4 bulan di Laboratorium Budidaya Hutan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi dengan menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) menggunakan 1 faktor yaitu mikroorganisme lokal bonggol pisang. Perlakuan yang diberikan antara lain p0 ( tanpa perlakuan), p1 (konsentrasi 10%), p2 (konsentari 20%), p3 (konsentrasi 40%) dan p4 (konsentrasi 40%). Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 5 kali sehingga terdapat 25 bahan percobaan. Setiap satuan percobaan terdiri dari 5 tanaman sehingga digunakan 125 tanaman. Parameter pengamatan berupa pertambahan Tinggi, Diameter, Jumlah Daun, Berat Kering Akar, Berat Kering Tajuk dan Berat Kering Total dan Rasio Pucuk Akar. Hasil dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan yaitu konsentrasi MOL berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap variabel pertambahan tinggi, pertambahan jumlah daun, berat kering tajuk dan berat kering total, berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter berat kering akar namun tidak berpengaruh nyata pada parameter pertambahan diameter. Konsentrasi 10% MOL bonggol pisang memiliki nilai terbaik yang dapat memberikan pengaruh sangat nyata terhadap pertambahan tinggi, pertambahan jumlah daun dan berat kering tajuk tanaman kayu manis. Kata Kunci: mikroorganisme lokal Bonggol Pisang, Kayu Manis ABSTRACT Cinnamon (Cinnamomum burmannii Blume) is a plant from the genus Cinnamomum in the Lauraceae family. This cinnamon plant is well-known for its bark, which has a distinctive aroma and flavor. Dried cinnamon bark is widely used in the food industry, beverages, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics, leading to significant exports to various countries. The use of local microorganisms (MOL) supports the nutritional needs of the soil. MOL solutions contain macro and micro nutrients, as well as microbes that can act as decomposers of organic material, growth stimulants, and pest and disease controllers for plants. The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of applying banana pseudostem MOL on the growth of cinnamon seedlings and to determine the best concentration of banana pseudostem MOL for cinnamon seedling growth. This research was conducted over four months in the Forest Cultivation Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture at Jambi University, using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with one factor: local microorganisms from banana pseudostems. The treatments included: p0 (no treatment), p1 (10% concentration), p2 (20% concentration), p3 (30% concentration), and p4 (40% concentration). Each treatment was replicated five times, resulting in 25 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of five plants, totaling 125 plants used in the study. Observational parameters included height increase, diameter increase, number of leaves, dry weight of roots, dry weight of shoots, total dry weight, and the root-to-shoot ratio. The results of the study indicated that the concentration of MOL had a very significant effect on the height increase, number of leaves, dry weight of shoots, and total dry weight. It had a significant effect on the dry weight of roots but no significant effect on diameter increase. A 10% concentration of banana pseudostem MOL showed the best results, significantly influencing the height increase, number of leaves, and dry weight of the cinnamon plants.
