Berpikir kreatif merupakan salah satu tuntutan yang harus dimiliki diri peserta didik dalam keterampilan abad 21. Pemanfaatan model problem based learning dalam pembelajaran diharapkan dapat mengembangkan keterampilan peserta didik menjadi pembelajar yang mandiri dan memiliki kemampuan berpikir kreatif melalui pemecahan masalah yang diberikan. Didukung oleh laboratorium virtual berupa simulasi PhET sebagai media merupakan media abad 21 yang diharapkan peserta didik mampu menguasai materi IPA (fisika) yang bersifat abstrak dan hitungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model problem based learning (PBL) bermedia laboratorium virtual terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik pada materi getaran harmonis di SMPN 17 Kota Jambi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan bentuk quasi eksperiment dengan rancangan penelitian non equivalent control grup design. Pada penelitian ini terdapat dua kelas sampel yaitu kelas VIII C sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan model PBL bermedia laboratorium virtual dan kelas VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol dengan model PBL. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes essai, lembar observasi kegiatan guru dan peserta didik pada penerapan model, serta lembar observasi kemampuan berpikir kreatif dengan teknik analisis data meliputi uji normalitas, uji non parametrik yaitu uji Wilcoxon Signed Test dan uji Mann Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai Sig. pada uji Wilcoxon Signed Test sebesar 0,000 dan uji Mann Whitney dengan Sig. 0,001 < 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Problem based learning (PBL) bermedia laboratorium virtual berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik pada materi getaran harmonis di SMPN 17 Kota Jambi. Creative thinking is one of the demands that students must have in 21st century skills. The use of the problem based learning (PBL) model in learning is expected to develop students' skills to become independent learners and have the ability to think creatively through problem solving provided, Supported by a virtual laboratory in the form of PhET simulation as a media, it is a 21st century media that is expected to be able to master abstract and computational science (physics) material. This study aims to determine the influence of the problem based learning (PBL) model mediated by virtual laboratories on students' creative thinking skills on harmonious vibration materials at SMPN 17 Jambi City. The method used in this study is experimental research using the form of Quasi Experimental with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design research design. In this study, there are two sample classes, namely class VIII C as an experimental class and class VIII B as a control class. The instruments in this study used essay tests, observation sheets of teacher and student activities in the application of models, as well as observation sheets of creative thinking skills with data analysis techniques including normality tests, non-parametric tests, namely the Wilcoxon Signed Test and Mann Whitney test. The results showed that the value of Sig. in the Wilcoxon Signed Test was 0,000 and the Mann Whitney test with Sig. 0,001< 0,05. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the problem based learning (PBL) model with virtual laboratory media has a significant effect on students' creative thinking skills in harmonious vibration material at SMPN 17 Jambi City.
