Abstract
ABSTRAK Kemantapan agregat tanah sangat penting dalam kegiatan pertanian. Agregat yang stabil menciptakan kondisi yang baik untuk pertumbuhan akar dan tanaman. agregat dapat memberikan lingkungan fisik yang baik seperti: porositas tanah, aerasi dan kapasitas air yang optimal untuk tanaman. Upaya peningkatan kemantapan agregat dalah satu dengan penambahan biochar pelepah kelapa sawit dan mikoriza. Penerapan kombinasi biochar dan mikoriza pada tanah Ultisol diharapkan dapat memperbaiki sifat fisik tanah dan mendukung peningkatan produktivitas tanaman jagung. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Tangkit, Kecamatan Sungai Gelam Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperiman dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) pola faktorial dengan dua faktor. Faktor pertama adalah dosis biochar dengan 3 taraf yaitu B0 = kontrol (tanpa biochar), B5= 5 ton/ha, B10= 10 ton/ha, faktor kedua adalah pemberian mikoriza dengan 3 taraf yaitu M0= kontrol (tanpa mikoriza), M1= 10 gram/lubang tanam, M2= 20 gram/lubang tanam. Variabel pengamatan pada parameter persen agregat terbentuk, kemantapan agregat, berat volume yanah , total ruang pori tanah, tinggi tanaman dan hasil tanaman. Pemberian biochar pelepah kelapa sawit dan mikoriza pada tanaman jagung terdapat interaksi pada variabel pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman dan hasil produksi jagung. Namun tidak berinteraksi pada variabel sifat fisika tanah, berat volume tanah, total ruang pori, persen agregat tanah, dan kemantapan agregat. Kombinasi pemberian biochar pelepah kelapa sawit dan mikoriza dengan dosis biochar 10 ton/ha dan 20 g mikoriza merupakan dosis terbaik dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil produksi jagung serta memperbaiki kemantapan agregat tanah Kata kunci : Kemantapan Agregat, Biochar, Mikoriza ABSTRACT The stability of soil aggregates is very important in agricultural activities. Stable aggregates create favorable conditions for the growth of roots and plants. Aggregates can provide a good physical environment such as: soil porosity, aeration and optimal water capacity for plants. Efforts to increase the stability of aggregates are one with the addition of biochar from palm fronds and mycorizes. The application of a combination of biochar and mycorrhiza to Ultisol soil is expected to improve the physical properties of the soil and support the increase of corn crop productivity. This research was carried out in Tangkit Village, Sungai Gelam District, Muaro Jambi Regency. This study uses an experimental method with a Random Group Design (RAK) of a factorial pattern with two factors. The first factor is the dose of biochar with 3 levels, namely B0 = control (without biochar), B5 = 5 tons/ha, B10 = 10 tons/ha, the second factor is the administration of mycorrhiza with 3 levels, namely M0 = control (without mycorrhiza), M1 = 10 grams/planting hole, M2 = 20 grams/planting. The observation variables on the parameters of the percentage of aggregate formed, aggregate stability, weight of the volume of the soil, total soil pore space, plant height and crop yield. The application of oil palm frond and mycorrhizal biochar to maize plants has an interaction on the variables of plant growth height and corn production. However, it does not interact with the variables of soil physical properties, soil volume weight, total pore space, soil aggregate percentage, and aggregate stability. The combination of biochar application of oil palm fronds and mycorrhiza with a biochar dose of 10 tons/ha and 20 g of mycorrhiza is the best dose in increasing the growth and yield of corn and improving soil aggregate stability Keywords: Stability of Aggregates, Biochar, Mycorrhiza
