Abstract
RINGKASAN Rotan merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Arecaceae yang umumnya memiliki alat panjat berupa sirus dan flagela, dengan batang berduri dan buah bersisik. Hutan Adat Depati Karo Jayo Tuo memiliki berbagai vegetasi tumbuhan salah satu yang banyak ditemukan yaitu vegetasi rotan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi spesies rotan, distribusi spasial, dan status konservasi rotan yang ditemukan di Hutan Adat Depati Karo Jayo Tuo Desa Rantau Kermas Merangin Jambi. Penentuan titik samping dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling yaitu sebanyak 80 plot yang ditempatkan secara sistematik di sepanjang jalur transek berukuran 20 m x 20 m. Pengambilan sampel rotan dilakukan di setiap plot untuk menghitung spesies dan jumlah individu rotan. Pengukuran faktor lingkungan diukur pada setiap plot diantaranya suhu udara, suhu tanah, kelembaban udara, kelembaban tanah, pH, dan instensitas cahaya. Analisis data dilakukan untuk menghitung indeks nilai penting (INP), indeks keanekaragaman (H’), indeks kemerataan (E), indeks morishita (ID) untuk melihat pola persebaran rotan dan analisis komponen utama (PCA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tujuh spesies rotan yaitu Calamus micracanthus Griff, Calamus javensis Blume, Calamus sp, Calamus oblongus Reinw. ex Blume, Calamus manan, Calamus manan Miq, Calamus castaneus Griff, dan Korthalsia laciniosa (Griff.) Mart. ditemukan di Hutan Adat Depati Karo Jayo Tuo. Spesies yang dominan yaitu Calamus micracanthus Griff. dan Calamus oblongus Reinw. ex Blume. Berdasarkan IUCN enam spesies rotan yang ditemukan di Hutan Adat Depati Karo Jayo Tuo masuk dalam kategori Not Evaluated (belum dievaluasi). Data CITES juga menunjukkan bahwa rotan-rotan ini tidak terlibat dalam perdagangan internasional. Selain itu, menurut Peraturan Pemerintah No. 7 Tahun 2018, spesies rotan yang ditemukan di lokasi penelitian tidak tercatat sebagai spesies yang dilindungi. Indeks keanekaragaman (H’) tumbuhan rotan yaitu 0,33 dan indeks kemerataan (E) yaitu 0,17, nilai ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai keanekaragaman dan kemerataan tergolong rendah. Pola persebaran rotan berdasarkan indeks morishita yaitu mengelompok. Hasil PCA menunjukkan bahwa faktor lingkungan seperti intensitas cahaya dan suhu udara berkorelasi positif dengan INP, sementara suhu tanah, kelembaban udara, dan pH menunjukkan korelasi negatif. SUMMARY Rattan is a plant from the Arecaceae family that generally has climbing tools in the form of ciruses and flagella, with spiny stems and scaly fruit. The Depati Karo Jayo Tuo Customary Forest has a variety of plant vegetation, one of which is rattan vegetation. This study aims to identify rattan species, spatial distribution, and conservation status of rattan found in the Depati Karo Jayo Tuo Customary Forest, Rantau Kermas Village, Merangin Jambi. Determination of side points was carried out by purposive sampling method, namely a total of 80 plots placed systematically along a transect line measuring 20 m x 20 m. Rattan sampling was conducted in each plot to count species and the number of rattan individuals. Environmental factors were measured in each plot including air temperature, soil temperature, air humidity, soil moisture, pH, and light intensity. Data analysis was carried out to calculate the important value index (INP), diversity index (H'), evenness index (E), morishita index (ID) to see the distribution pattern of rattan and principal component analysis (PCA). The results showed that seven rattan species namely Calamus micracanthus Griff, Calamus javensis Blume, Calamus sp, Calamus oblongus Reinw. ex Blume, Calamus manan, Calamus manan Miq, Calamus castaneus Griff, and Korthalsia laciniosa (Griff.) Mart. were found in the Depati Karo Jayo Tuo Customary Forest. The dominant species are Calamus micracanthus Griff. and Calamus oblongus Reinw. ex Blume. Based on IUCN, the six rattan species found in the Depati Karo Jayo Tuo Customary Forest are categorized as Not Evaluated. CITES data also shows that these rattans are not involved in international trade. In addition, according to Government Regulation No. 7 of 2018, the rattan species found in the study site are not listed as protected species. The diversity index (H') of rattan plants is 0.33 and the evenness index (E) is 0.17, these values indicate that the values of diversity and evenness are low. The distribution pattern of rattan based on the morishita index is clustered. PCA results show that environmental factors such as light intensity and air temperature are positively correlated with INP, while soil temperature, air humidity, and pH show a negative correlation.
