Abstract

Tuberkulosis adalah penyakit menular yang disebabkan oleh bakteri Mycobacterium tuberculosis, menyebar melalui udara. Anak-anak di bawah usia lima tahun berisiko tinggi terkena TB paru. Berdasarkan WHO Global TB Report 2023, TB paru menjadi penyebab kematian kedua terbanyak di dunia pada tahun 2022 dengan 1,3 juta kematian. Pada tahun yang sama, Indonesia menempati posisi kedua yang memiliki kasus TB paru tertinggi di dunia setelah India. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang berhubungan dengan kejadian TB paru pada balita usia 0-59 bulan berdasarkan SSGI tahun 2022. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain studi atau rancangan penelitian cross sectional dengan analisis multivariat. Populasi kasus adalah adalah seluruh rumah tangga balita yang ada di Indonesia. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 334.848 dan diperoleh dari data sekunder Kemenkes RI. Variabel terikat penelitian ini adalah kejadian TB paru pada balita usia 0 – 59 bulan di Indonesia. Variabel bebas penelitian ini adalah umur, jenis kelamin, status gizi, riwayat imunisasi BCG, pendidikan ibu dan BBLR. Proporsi kasus TB paru pada anak usia 0 – 59 bulan di Indonesia sebesar 0,3%. Diketahui dari uji statistik bahwa faktor dominan kejadian tuberkulosis balita adalah status gizi kurang (p = 0,04) dan tidak ada hubungan antara jenis kelamin (p = 0,67), imunisasi BCG (p = 0,17), BBLR (p = 0,15), umur (p = 0,27), pendidikan Ibu (p = 0,63) dengan kejadian tuberkulosis balita. Kata Kunci : Balita, Determinan, Tuberkulosis paru Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by the Mycobacterium tuberculosis bacteria, spreading through the air. Children under the age of five are at high risk of developing pulmonary TB. According to the WHO Global TB Report 2023, pulmonary TB was the second leading cause of death worldwide in 2022, with 1.3 million deaths. In the same year, Indonesia ranked second globally in terms of the highest pulmonary TB cases, after India. The aim of this study is to identify the factors associated with the occurrence of pulmonary TB in children aged 0-59 months, based on the SSGI data from 2022. This study is a quantitative research with a cross-sectional study design. The population consists of all households with children under five in Indonesia. The sample size includes 334.848 children, and the sample was obtained from secondary data provided by the Indonesian Ministry of Health. The dependent variable in this study is the occurrence of pulmonary TB in children aged 0-59 months in Indonesia. The independent variables are age, gender, nutritional status, history of BCG immunization, mother's education, and low birth weight (LBW). The proportion of pulmonary TB cases in children aged 0–59 months in Indonesia is 0.3%. Statistical tests revealed that the dominant factor associated with tuberculosis incidence in toddlers is malnutrition (p = 0.04), while there is no association between tuberculosis incidence in toddlers and gender (p = 0.67), BCG vaccination (p = 0.17), low birth weight (p = 0.15), age (p = 0.27), or mother's education (p = 0.63).
