Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana jejaring aktor dalam penerapan Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) oleh PTPN IV Regional 4 Jambi, serta memahami peran dan interaksi antara perusahaan, pemerintah, masyarakat, dan NGO lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan landasan teori Actor-Network Theory (ANT) dari Bruno Latour, yang melihat hubungan antar aktor baik manusia maupun non manusia sebagai jaringan yang kompleks. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini mengkaji bagaimana aktor-aktor tersebut saling berinteraksi dalam menyusun dan menjalankan program ESG. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan ESG di PTPN IV Regional 4 Jambi belum terlaksana secara optimal. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya sosialisasi tentang konsep ESG kepada aktor-aktor terkait, seperti pemerintah Provinsi Jambi, masyarakat sekitar, dan NGO lingkungan. Selain itu, tidak ada pelibatan para aktor dalam penyusunan program ESG, yang seharusnya dapat dibangun melalui diskusi bersama. Akibatnya, tujuan ESG sulit untuk dicapai karena minimnya komunikasi, sosialisasi, dan evaluasi yang melibatkan para aktor dalam proses implementasi dan monitoring program. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa keberhasilan penerapan ESG memerlukan kolaborasi dan komunikasi yang lebih intensif antara semua aktor terkait, dengan fokus pada transparansi, evaluasi berkala, serta pelibatan aktif dalam penyusunan kebijakan untuk memastikan keberlanjutan sosial yang seimbang. Kata Kunci : Jejaring Aktor, Konsep ESG, dan PTPN IV Regional 4 Jambi. ABSTRACT This research aims to find out how the actor network is in implementing Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) carried out by PTPN IV Regional 4 Jambi, as well as understanding the roles and interactions between companies, government, communities and environmental NGOs. This research uses the theoretical basis of Bruno Latour's Actor-Network Theory (ANT), which views relationships between actors both human and non human as a complex network. With a qualitative descriptive approach, this research examines how these actors interact with each other in developing and implementing ESG programs. The research results show that the implementation of ESG at PTPN IV Regional 4 Jambi has not been implemented optimally. This is caused by a lack of socialization regarding the ESG concept to relevant actors, such as the Jambi Provincial Government, local communities and environmental NGOs. Apart from that, there is no involvement of actors in the preparation of ESG programs which should be developed through joint discussions. As a result, ESG goals are difficult to achieve due to minimal communication, outreach and evaluation involving actors in the program implementation and monitoring process. This research concludes that the successful implementation of ESG requires more intensive collaboration and communication between all relevant actors, with a focus on transparency, regular evaluation, and active involvement in policy formulation to ensure balanced social sustainability.
