Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian dengan judul “Analisis Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Penyerapan Tenaga Kerja Industri Pengolahan Kabupaten/Kota di Provinsi Jambi” di bawah bimbingan Ibu Dr. Hj. Erni Achmad, S.E., M.Si dan Bapak Dearmi Artis, S.E., M.Sc yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis : 1) Perkembangan penyerapan tenaga kerja industri pengolahan, Upah Minimum Kabupaten/Kota (UMK), Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB) sektor industri pengolahan, pertumbuhan ekonomi dan jumlah unit usaha terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja pada industri pengolahan di Provinsi Jambi. 2) Pengaruh Upah Minimum Kabupaten/Kota (UMK), Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB) sektor industri pengolahan, pertumbuhan ekonomi dan jumlah unit usaha terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja pada industri pengolahan di Provinsi Jambi. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder dengan model data panel menggunakan pendekatan Random Effect Model (REM). Penelitian ini menggunakan data runtun waktu (time series), mulai dari tahun 2016 sampai 2022. Serta menggunakan data 11 kabupaten/kota yang ada di Provinsi Jambi sebagai data (cross-section). Sumber data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistik dan instansi-instansi terkait. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Alat analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan regresi data panel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tahap pengujian yang dilakukan dalam periode tahun 2016 sampai 2022. Hasil analisis regresi data panel dengan menggunakan pendekatan Random Effect Model (REM), diperoleh hasil bahwa variabel Upah Minimum Kabupaten/Kota (UMK) berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja industri pengolahan, variabel pertumbuhan ekonomi berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja industri pengolahan, adapun variabel Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB) sektor industri pengolahan dan jumlah unit usaha berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja industri pengolahan. Erni Achmad, S.E., M.Si, and Mr. Dearmi Artis, S.E., M.Sc, aims to analyze: 1) The development of employment absorption in the processing industry, the Regency/City Minimum Wage (UMK), the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of the processing industry sector, economic growth, and the number of business units on employment absorption in the processing industry in Jambi Province. 2) The effect of the Regency/City Minimum Wage (UMK), the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of the processing industry sector, economic growth, and the number of business units on employment absorption in the processing industry in Jambi Province. The type of data used in this study is secondary data with a panel data model using the Random Effect Model (REM) approach. This study uses time series data from 2016 to 2022 and cross-sectional data from 11 regencies/cities in Jambi Province. The data sources for this research were obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics and related agencies. The research method used is the descriptive quantitative analysis method. The data analysis tool in this study employs panel data regression. The research results indicate that the tests conducted during the period from 2016 to 2022 show that using the Random Effect Model (REM) approach in panel data regression analysis, the Regency/City Minimum Wage (UMK) variable has a significant negative effect on employment absorption in the processing industry, the economic growth variable has a negative and insignificant effect on employment absorption in the processing industry, while the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) variable of the processing industry sector and the number of business units have a significant positive effect on employment absorption in the processing industry.
