Abstract
The development of agrotourism in the Geragai Independent Integrated City (KTM) Area, Geragai District, East Tanjung Jabung Regency, is a strategic effort to combine the agricultural sector with tourism to encourage local economic growth and community empowerment. However, in its implementation, the development of agrotourism in this area faces various challenges, such as minimal involvement of local communities and limited workforce which has an impact on community contributions in the management and development of agrotourism. This research aims to analyze the agrotourism development program at KTM Geragai, including its impact on the surrounding community and its management. This research uses impact theory and development strategies, to understand the importance of synergy between economic, social and environmental aspects in agrotourism management. The research method used is qualitative with an observation, interview and documentation approach. The research results show that although KTM Geragai Agrotourism has great potential to be developed, its sustainability is disrupted by a lack of budget and low community involvement. To overcome this, it is necessary to empower local communities through training, capacity building and job creation. In this way, it is hoped that KTM Geragai Agrotourism can become a model for sustainable and competitive community-based agrotourism development.
