Abstract

The water source that enters the PT Bina Sarana Sukses mining location Job site Baturona Adimulya (BRAM) originates from sidewall north, which does not have open channels, so that when rainfall is high, water inundates the mining area. This causes the pump to take a long time to release water, which results in increased fuel consumption and operational costs. From data recap mine dewatering 2024 shows that in March, the volume of incoming water reached 388,085 m3/ month, with fuel costs of IDR 455,406,120. Most of the incoming water comes from runoff water, with the planned water discharge before making the open channel amounting to 209.798 m3/month, after making the open channel plan it becomes 164.652,34 m3/month. The open channel plan has a base width of 1m, surface width of 3m, depth of 1m, and sloping side length of 2m, can flow a discharge of 1.41 m3/second. By reducing the Catchment area from 79 Ha to 62 Ha, pump operational time can be reduced by up to 62 hours, resulting in fuel savings of IDR Rp 42.448.360,98 Keywords: Catchment Area, rainfall, pump, runoff water discharge
