Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana pemahaman guru tentang kurikulum Merdeka dan dampaknya terhadap kualitas pengajaran di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN 198/1 Pasar Baru pada semester genap 2024/2025. Subjek penelitian yaitu Ibu K selaku guru Wali Kelas. Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumen. Uji validasi data menggunakan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa guru kelas I sudah memahami Kurikulum Merdeka dengan baik. Meskipun demikian, masih terdapat hambatan, seperti kesulitan dalam mengadaptasi teknologi pembelajaran, kurangnya waktu untuk mengikuti pelatihan, dan rasa kurang percaya diri dalam mengubah metode pengajaran tradisional. Hambatan-hambatan ini mempengaruhi efektivitas pengajaran, meskipun pemahaman yang baik terhadap kurikulum tetap dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di kelas. Penggunakan panduan dalam mengajar yang mengarahkan guru melalui langkah-langkah penting seperti perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengelolaan, serta penialaian dan pelaporan hasil. Guru memiliki keleluasaan tergantung pada desain langkah pembelajaran, sehingga kesuksesan ini tercermin dalam laporan hasil belajar peserta didik yang mencerminkan sejauh mana peserta didik mengikuti pembelajaran. Hasil hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru kelas I SDN 198/1 Pasar Baru telah berhasil menerapkan pembelajaran dengan baik sesuai dengan kurikulum merdeka, hanya saja terdapat hambatan guru dalam memahami kurikulum merdeka serta dampak dari pemahaman guru terhadap kualitas pengajaran di sekolah. This study aims to describe how teachers’ understanding of the Independent curriculum and its impact on teaching quality in elementary schools. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study research type. This research was conducted at SDN 198/1 Pasar Baru in the even semester of 2024/2025. The research subject was Mrs. K as the Homeroom Teacher. The research data was obtained through observation, interviews, and document studies. Data validation test using triangulation. The results of this study indicate that grade I teachers have understood the Independent Curriculum well. However, there are still obstacles, such as difficulty in adapting learning technology, lack of time to follow training, and lack of confidence in changing traditional teaching methods. These obstacles affect the effectiveness of teaching, although a good understanding of the curriculum can still improve the quality of learning in the classroom. The use of teaching guides that guide teachers through important steps such as planning, implementing, managing, and assessing and reporting results. Teachers have the flexibility depending on the design of the learning steps, so that this success is reflected in the report on student learning outcomes that reflect the extent to which students follow the learning. The results of the study can be concluded that grade I teachers of SDN 198/1 Pasar Baru have succeeded in implementing learning well in accordance with the independent curriculum, it's just that there are obstacles for teachers in understanding the independent curriculum and the impact of teacher understanding on the quality of teaching in schools.
