Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) menganalisis pendapatan usahatani kelapa sawit di Kecamatan Sungai Bahar, 2) menganalisis tingkat kesejahteraan petani kelapa sawit di Kecamatan Sungai Bahar, dan 3) menganalisis hubungan pendapatan usahatani kelapa sawit dengan kesejahteraan petani di Kecamatan Sungai Bahar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penarikan sampel secara acak (random sampling). Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan rumus Slovin dari Taro Yamane. Ukuran sampel sebanyak 68 petani. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) pendapatan yang diperoleh petani di Kecamatan Sungai Bahar Kabupaten Muaro Jambi yaitu sebesar Rp. 21.652.199,51/ha/tahun setara dengan Rp. 66.580.513,48/petani/tahun, lebih besar dari Upah Minimum Kabupaten (UMK) Kabupaten Muaro Jambi yakni Rp. 3.172.413. 2) Berdasarkan Indikator Kesejahteraan menurut Badan Pusat Statistik maka petani kelapa sawit di Kecamatan Sungai Bahar berada pada kategori cukup atau belum sejahtera. 3) Terdapat hubungan antara pendapatan usahatani dengan kesejateraan petani di Kecamatan Sungai Bahar. Kata Kunci: Pendapatan, Kesejahteraan, dan Petani Kelapa Sawit. ABSTRACT This research aims to: 1) analyze oil palm farming income in Sungai Bahar District, 2) analyze the level of welfare of oil palm farmers in Sungai Bahar District, and 3) analyze the relationship between oil palm farming income and farmer welfare in Sungai Bahar District. This research uses a random sampling method. The sampling technique uses the Slovin formula from Taro Yamane. The sample size was 68 farmers. The results of this research show that: 1) the income earned by farmers in Sungai Bahar District, Muaro Jambi Regency is IDR. 21,652,199.51/ha/year equivalent to IDR. 66,580,513.48/farmer/year, greater than the Regency Minimum Wage (UMK) for Muaro Jambi Regency, namely IDR. 3,172,413/Month. 2) Based on the Welfare Indicators according to the Central Statistics Agency, oil palm farmers in Sungai Bahar District are in the moderate or not yet prosperous category. 3) There is a relationship between farming income and the welfare of farmers in Sungai Bahar District.
