Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis repsentasi nilai-nilai filsafat Stokisme pada tokoh utama dalam novel Tentang Kamu karya Tere Liye. Nilai tersebut berupa dikotomi kendali dan amor fati. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data penelitian yang diperoleh melalui pembacaan mendalam kemudian mencatatnya pada objek penelitian, yaitu novel Tentang Kamu karya Tere Liye. Data berupa karakter tokoh utama yang merepresentasikan dikotomi kendali dan amor fati nilai filsafat Stoikisme yang dianalisis menggunakan hakikat penokohan dan pelukisan tokoh yang dikemukakan oleh Burhan Nurgiyantoro. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan data dari nilai dikotomi kendali yang dianalisis sebanyak dua belas data terdiri atas deskripsi melalui narasi (2 data), deskripsi melalui dialog tokoh utama (1 data), deskripsi melalui interaksi antar tokoh lain (3 data), deskripsi melalui pikiran tokoh lain terhadap tokoh utama (2 data). Terdapat pula enam data dari nilai amor fati yang terdiri atas deskripsi melalui dialog dan pikiran tokoh utama (2 data), deskripsi melalui pikiran tokoh lain terhadap tokoh utama (4 data). Selain itu, juga ditemukan nilai dikotomi kendali dan amor fati yang saling beririsan pada tokoh Sri Ningsih sebanyak lima data, yaitu deskripsi melalui narasi (1 data) dan deskripsi melalui dialog tokoh utama (4 data). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa tokoh utama novel Tentang Kamu merepresentasikan nilai-nilai filsafat Stoikisme. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan temuan berupa nilai dikotomi kendali memenuhi semua unsur hakikat penokohan sehingga representasi nilai dikotomi kendali melalui tokoh utama dapat dipahami dengan mudah oleh pembaca. Selanjutnya, representasi nilai amor fati yang beberapa unsur penokohan untuk memperkuat gagasan nilai tersebut. Sedangkan nilai dikotomi kendali dan amor fati yang saling beririsan perlu dilakukan pencermatan mendalam untuk menafsirkannya agar menghindari kesalahan dalam penafsiran. This study aims to analyze the representation of Stoicism philosophical values ​​in the main character in the novel Tentang Kamu by Tere Liye. These values ​​are in the form of a dichotomy of control and amor fati. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the collection of research data obtained through in-depth reading and then recording them on the object of research, namely the novel Tentang Kamu by Tere Liye. The data in the form of the main character's character representing the dichotomy of control and amor fati of the Stoicism philosophical values ​​are analyzed using the nature of characterization and character descriptions put forward by Burhan Nurgiyantoro. The results of the study showed that data from the control dichotomy values ​​analyzed were twelve data consisting of descriptions through narration (2 data), descriptions through the main character's dialogue (1 data), descriptions through interactions between other characters (3 data), descriptions through other characters' thoughts towards the main character (2 data). There are also six data from the amor fati value consisting of descriptions through dialogue and the main character's thoughts (2 data), descriptions through other characters' thoughts towards the main character (4 data). In addition, it was also found that the dichotomy value of control and amor fati overlapped in the character of Sri Ningsih as many as five data, namely description through narration (1 data) and description through the main character's dialogue (4 data). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the main character of the novel Tentang Kamu represents the values ​​of Stoicism philosophy. This is evidenced by the findings in the form of the dichotomy value of control fulfilling all elements of the nature of characterization so that the representation of the dichotomy value of control through the main character can be easily understood by the reader. Furthermore, the representation of the amor fati value which is several elements of characterization to strengthen the idea of ​​the value. Meanwhile, the dichotomy value of control and amor fati which overlap need to be examined in depth to interpret it in order to avoid errors in interpretation.
