Abstract

ABSTRAK Salah satu permasalahan dalam pengelolaan hutan di Indonesia adalah rendahnya pendapatan masyarakat dari usaha kehutanan yang berdampak terhadap tingginya kegiatan konversi lahan hutan menjadi usaha non kehutanan. Selain itu, masyarakat sekitar hutan tidak dapat dipisahkan dari hutan karena tempat mencari nafkahnya. Salah satu program pemerintah yaitu perhutanan sosial diharapkan mampu berkontribusi terhadap pendapatan masyarakat. Salah satunya yaitu Hutan Tanaman Rakyat (HTR). HTR yang beroperasi di Provinsi Jambi adalah HTR Koperasi Perisai Sinar Jaya dikawasan KPHP Unit XIII Muaro Jambi yang diberikan IUPHHK-HTR pada tahun 2010 dengan luas 266 ha yang berada di Desa Sungai Gelam Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui berapa besar kontribusi HTR terhadap pendapatan anggota koperasi perisai sinar jaya dan bagaimana korelasi karakteristik petani terhadap pendapatan anggota koerasi perisai sinar jaya. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 2 bulan di Desa Sungai Gelam Kabupaten Muaro Jambi dengan sampel dalam penelitian adalah seluruh Anggota Koperasi Perisai Sinar Jaya yang berjumlah 23. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara terbuka dan studi literatur. Teknik analisis data menggunakan pendekatan penelitian yang akan digunakan yaitu dengan pendekatan kuantitatif yang didukung oleh data kualitatif. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan untuk menganalisis kontribusi hutan tanaman rakyat terhadap pendapatan dan korelasi karakeristik terhadap pendapatan. Pendekatan kuantitatif yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan metode survei kepada responden menggunakan kuesioner sebagai instrumen utama dalam pengumpulan data. Data kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif digunakan untuk mendukung data penelitian dengan skala pengukuran ordinal, interval dan rasio. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini adalah (1).Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa HTR memberikan kontribusi sebesar 18,42% terhadap total pendapatan anggota koperasi, sementara sektor non-HTR memberikan kontribusi lebih besar, yaitu 81,58%. Pendapatan dari sektor HTR terdiri dari aktivitas on-farm seperti budidaya akasia, nanas, dan pinang, serta off-farm seperti budidaya madu dan buruh di sektor kehutanan. (2) Adapun karakteristik yang memiliki hubungan signifikan terhadap pendapatan adalah tingkat pendidikan (r = 0,520) dan luas lahan (r = 0,540), sementara variabel umur (r = 0,070) dan jumlah tanggungan (r = 0,050) tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan. Dari hasil analisis Rank sperman karakteristik yang berkorelasi signifikan yaitu pada faktor tingkat pendidikan dan luas lahan. Kata kunci: Kontribusi, Pendapatan, Korelasi ABSTRACT One of the problems in forest management in Indonesia is the low income of communities from forestry activities, which leads to a high rate of forest land conversion into non-forestry businesses. In addition, the communities around the forest cannot be separated from the forest as it is their primary source of livelihood. One of the government programs, namely social forestry, is expected to contribute to the income of local communities. One of these programs is the Community Forest Plantations (HTR). HTR is part of the social forestry policy aimed at improving the welfare of communities around the forest through the utilization of production forests. The HTR operating in Jambi Province is the Koperasi Perisai Sinar Jaya HTR, located in the KPHP Unit XIII Muaro Jambi area, which was granted a Timber Forest Product Utilization Permit for Community Forest Plantations (IUPHHK-HTR) in 2010, with an area of 266 hectares in Sungai Gelam Village, Muaro Jambi Regency. The purpose of this research is to determine the contribution of HTR to the income of the members of Koperasi Perisai Sinar Jaya and how the correlation between the characteristics of farmers affects their income. This research was conducted over two months in Sungai Gelam Village, Muaro Jambi Regency, with the sample being all members of Koperasi Perisai Sinar Jaya, totaling 23 members. Data collection methods included open interviews and literature studies. The data analysis technique used a research approach with both quantitative and qualitative data. The quantitative approach was used to analyze the contribution of community forest plantations to income and the correlation of characteristics with income. The quantitative approach involved a survey method with questionnaires as the main data collection instrument. Descriptive qualitative data supported the research, with measurement scales of ordinal, interval, and ratio. The results of this research are as follows: (1)The research shows that HTR contributes 18.42% to the total income of the cooperative members, while the non-HTR sector contributes a larger share of 81.58%. Income from the HTR sector comes from on-farm activities such as the cultivation of acacia, pineapples, and betel nuts, as well as off-farm activities such as honey farming and labor in the forestry sector. (2) The characteristics that have a significant relationship to income are education level (r = 0.520) and land area (r = 0.540), while age (r = 0.070) and number of dependents (r = 0.050) do not have a significant relationship. From the Spearman rank analysis, the characteristics that show a significant correlation are the education level and land area factors. This research shows that although HTR contributes to the income of the community, the non-HTR sector still dominates as the main source of income. Additionally, characteristics such as education level and land area significantly affect the income of the cooperative members. Key words: Contribution, Revenue , Correlation
