Abstract

Analisis Faktor Pendorong Siswa di Bawah Umur Mengendarai Kendaraan Roda Dua Ditinjau dari Civic Knowledge pada Siswa Kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Kota Jambi: Skripsi, Program Studi Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan, Jurusan Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial, FKIP Universitas Jambi. Kata Kunci: Civic Knowledge, Siswa di Bawah Umur, Kendaraan Roda Dua, Pelanggaran Lalu Lintas Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor pendorong siswa di bawah umur mengendarai kendaraan roda dua serta keterkaitannya dengan Civic Knowledge pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Kota Jambi, dan mengidentifikasi bagaimana upaya pihak sekolah dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terkait aturan lalu lintas. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Informan pada penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Kota Jambi, guru mata pelajaran PPKn, petugas keamanan (satpam), guru bidang waka kesiswaan sebagai informan tambahan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian berupa reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwasannya terdapat berbagai faktor yang mendorong siswa di bawah umur memutuskan untuk mengendarai kendaraan roda dua, yaitu diantaranya terdapat faktor internal: lemahnya kontrol dan efek pembiaran (kebebasan) orang tua, kebutuhan dan minimnya kepatuhan hukum, sikap menormalisasi pelanggaran aturan lalu lintas. Faktor eksternal: dukungan sosial teman sebaya, lemahnya aturan dan sanksi, dan rendahnya kepedulian di dalam masyarakat. Keterkaitan Civic Knowledge siswa tentang aturan lalu lintas dan kesadaran hukum yang masih rendah sehingga menyebabkan siswa kurang memahami konsekuensi dari tindakannya. Sekolah telah berupaya meningkatkan pemahaman siswa melalui sosialisasi dan teguran lisan, namun masih membutuhkan strategi yang lebih efektif lagi. Berdasarkan temuan dari penelitian ini, disarankan adanya kerja sama antara sekolah, orang tua, dan kepolisian untuk memberikan edukasi serta pengawasan mendalam. Peningkatan Civic Knowledge di sekolah dan keluarga perlu dilakukan secara lebih intensif agar siswa memahami betapa pentingnya kepatuhan terhadap aturan lalu lintas saat berkendara demi keselamatan dan kenyamanan diri sendiri maupun orang lain. Keywords: Civic Knowledge, Underage Students, Two-Wheeled Vehicles, Traffic Violations This study aims to analyze the driving factors for underage students to drive two-wheeled vehicles and their relationship to Civic Knowledge in grade X students of SMA Negeri 5 Kota Jambi, and to identify how the school's efforts to improve students' understanding of traffic rules. This study was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach through data collection techniques with interviews, observations, and documentation. The informants in this study were students of class X of SMA Negeri 5 Kota Jambi, PPKn subject teachers, security officers (satpam), and student affairs vice principal teachers as additional informants. The data analysis techniques used in the study were data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of this study indicate that there are various factors that encourage underage students to decide to drive two-wheeled vehicles, including internal factors: weak control and the effect of parental neglect (freedom), the need for and minimal compliance with the law, and the attitude of normalizing traffic violations. External factors: peer social support, weak rules and sanctions, and low concern in the community. The relationship between students' Civic Knowledge about traffic rules and legal awareness is still low, causing students to not understand the consequences of their actions. Schools have made efforts to improve students' understanding through socialization and verbal warnings, but still need more effective strategies. Based on the findings of this study, it is recommended that there be cooperation between schools, parents, and the police to provide in-depth education and supervision. Increasing Civic Knowledge in schools and families needs to be done more intensively so that students understand how important it is to comply with traffic rules when driving for the safety and comfort of themselves and others.
