Abstract

Alat tangkap payang termasuk alat penangkapan yang digolongkan sebagai pukat kantong yang mempunyai produktivitas tinggi sehingga menghasilkan tingginya komposisi jenis hasil penangkapan. Komposisi jenis ikan pada suatu perairan digunakan dalam melakukan prediksi keanekaragaman spesies untuk menunjukkan banyaknya individu atau jenis ikan yang berbeda dikarenakan terdapat ketidaksamaan ukuran, bentuk serta kuantitas. Selain keanekaragaman, distribusi ukuran juga berfungsi untuk menunjukkan tingkat pertumbuhan ikan berdasarkan frekuensi panjang di suatu perairan. Tujuan penelitian ini yakni untuk menganalisis keanekaragaman dan distribusi ukuran hasil penangkapan pada payang di Perairan Pantai Carocok Tarusan. Metode pada penelitian ini yakni metode survey. Untuk pengambilan sampel diterapkan metode purposive sampling. Penelitian menunjukkan hasil bahwa total hasil tangkapan payang sebanyak 433.904 ekor dengan berat 899,86 kg, yang terbagi kedalam hasil tangkapan utama dan hasil tangkapan sampingan. Jumlah HTU penangkapan payang lebih tinggi yakni 92,51% dibandingkan hasil tangkapan sampingan sebesar 7,49%. Nilai indeks keanekaragaman di Perairan Pantai Carocok Tarusan adalah 0,37, indeks keseragaman 0,12 dan indeks dominansi 0,86. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil indeks keanekaragaman dan keseragaman tergolong rendah sementara itu nilai indeks dominansi tergolong tinggi. Distribusi ukuran teri sebagai hasil utama dari payang yaitu sebanyak 64,74% dinyatakan layak tangkap. The boat seine gear is a fishing gear that is classified as a purse seine that has high productivity, resulting in a high composition of the types of catches. The composition of fish species in a body of water is used in predicting species diversity to show the number of individuals or different types of fish due to differences in size, shape and quantity. In addition to diversity, size distribution also functions to show the growth rate of fish based on the length frequency in a body of water. The purpose of this study was to analyze the diversity and size distribution of catches in boat seine in the Carocok Tarusan Coastal Waters. The method in this study was the survey method. The purposive sampling method was applied for sampling. The study showed that the total catch of boat seine was 433.904 fish weighing 899,86 kg, which was divided into main catch (HTU) and bycatch (HTS). The number of HTU catches of payang was higher, namely 92.51% compared to bycatch of 7,49%. The diversity index value in the Carocok Tarusan Coastal Waters was 0,37, the uniformity index was 0,12 and the dominance index was 0,86. It can be concluded that the results of the diversity and uniformity index are relatively low while the dominance index value is relatively high. The distribution of anchovy size as the main result of payang, which is 64,74% is declared worthy of being caught.
