Abstract

Kayu manis merupakan salah satu tanaman famili Lauraceae tergolong rempah-rempah yang bermanfaat sebagai bumbu masakan dan obat herbal tradisional. Secara tradisional kayu manis digunakan untuk menurunkan tekanan darah dan dapat menyembuhkan penyakit lain seperti diabetes, antidiare, antireumatik, sariawan dan lain-lain. Kayu manis di Indonesia memiliki prospek yang baik untuk mendukung pendapatan dan kegiatan penghijauan serta rehabilitasi lahan kritis terutama pada bagian daerah aliran sungai. Pemerintah Kabupaten Kerinci menetapkan varietas unggul lokal kayu manis batavia cassia atau korintje dengan nama latin Cinnamomum burmani adalah salah satu dari genus Cinnamomum sebagai varietas unggul dan menetapkan kebun induk sebagai sumber bibit untuk kayu manis. Pertumbuhan tanaman kayu manis juga sangat dipengaruhi oleh ketersedian nutrisi. Ketersedian tersebut bisa berasal dari media dan luar media (pemupukan). Pemberian pupuk NPK (16- 16-16) dengan dosis yang tepat dapat memperbaiki sifat fisik, kimia dan biologi tanah, penyuplai hara serta dapat memacu pertumbuhan tunas maupun akar dan dapat pula meningkatkan daya tahan tanaman akibat kekurangan air ataupun serangan hama dan penyakit pada tanaman. Pemberian pupuk kandang ayam dapat memperbaiki struktrur tanah yang sangat kekurangan unsur organik serta dapat menyuburkan tanaman. Penelitian ini berlangsung selama 3 bulan di Laboratorium Silvikultur Prodi Kehutanan dan di desa Ulu Air, Kecamatan Kumun Debai, Kabupaten Kerinci, Provinsi Jambi dengan ketinggian Lokasi 750 mdpl. Lahan penelitian memiliki kemiringan 4,4 % - 6,6 % (Landai). Metode yang digunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan dua faktor yaitu pupuk NPK yang terdiri dari 3 taraf dan pupuk kendang ayam yang terdiri dari 3 taraf sehingga didapatkan 9 kombinasi yang diulang sebanyak 3 kali sehingga terdapat 27 satuan percobaan. Setiap satuan percoban terdiri dari 4 bibit dan total yang dibutuhkan 108 bibit angsana. Variabel yang diamati yaitu pertambahan tinggi, pertambahan diameter, pertambahan jumlah daun, berat kering tajuk (BKT), berat kering akar (BKA), ratio pucuk akar. Data yang didapatkan dianalisis dengan sidik ragam (Anova) dan pada variabel yang berpengaruh nyata dilakukan uji beda rata-rata dengan menggunakan uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT) taraf ∝ 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat interaksi yang tidak nyata antara pupuk NPK dan pupuk kandang ayam terhadap pertumbuhan kayu manis (cinnanomum burmanii) pada semua variabel pengamatan. Perlakuan pemberian pupuk NPK dengan dosis 50 gram merupakan perlakuan terbaik pada pertumbuhan bibit kayu manis yang memberikan pengaruh nyata pada variabel pertambahan jumlah daun dan pemberian pupuk kandang ayam berpengauh tidak nyata terhadap semua variabel pertumbuhan bibit kayu manis. Cinnamon is one of the plants of the Lauraceae family, classified as a spice that is useful as a cooking spice and traditional herbal medicine. Traditionally, cinnamon is used to lower blood pressure and can cure other diseases such as diabetes, antidiarrhea, antirheumatic, canker sores and others. Cinnamon in Indonesia has good prospects to support income and greening activities and rehabilitation of critical land, especially in river basins. The Kerinci Regency Government has determined the superior local variety of cinnamon batavia cassia or korintje with the Latin name Cinnamomum burmani is one of the genus Cinnamomum as a superior variety and has determined the parent garden as a source of seeds for cinnamon. The growth of cinnamon plants is also greatly influenced by the availability of nutrients. This availability can come from the media and outside the media (fertilization). Giving NPK fertilizer (16-16-16) with the right dose can improve the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil, supply nutrients and can stimulate the growth of shoots and roots and can also increase plant resistance to lack of water or attacks by pests and diseases on plants. The provision of chicken manure can improve the structure of soil that is very deficient in organic elements and can fertilize plants. This research took place for 3 months in the Silviculture Laboratory of the Forestry Study Program and in Ulu Air Village, Kumun Debai District, Kerinci Regency, Jambi Province with a location altitude of 750 meters above sea level. The research land has a slope of 4.4% - 6.6% (gentle). The method used was a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with two factors, namely NPK fertilizer consisting of 3 levels and chicken manure consisting of 3 levels so that 9 combinations were obtained which were repeated 3 times so that there were 27 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of 4 seedlings and a total of 108 angsana seedlings were needed. The variables observed were height increase, diameter increase, number of leaves, dry weight of the crown (BKT), dry weight of the root (BKA), and root shoot ratio. The data obtained were analyzed using ANOVA and on the variables that had a significant effect, a mean difference test was carried out using the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test at a level of ∝ 5%. The results showed that there was no significant interaction between NPK fertilizer and chicken manure on the growth of cinnamon (cinnanomum burmanii) in all observation variables. The treatment of giving NPK fertilizer with a dose of 50 grams was the best treatment for the growth of cinnamon seedlings which had a significant effect on the variable of increasing the number of leaves and the provision of chicken manure had no significant effect on all cinnamon seedling growth variables.
