Abstract
Abstrak Pohon nibung merupakan tanaman sejenis palem yang tumbuh di Asia Tenggara termasuk hampir di seluruh wilayah Indonesia. Di wilayah Jambi Nibung banyak tumbuh pada daerah rawa pasang surut seperti di Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur. Nibung telah lama dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat, hampir semua bagian nibung dapat dimanfaatkan mulai dari batang, buah hingga daunnya. Saat ini ketersediaan Nibung di alam cenderung semakin berkurang akibat aktifitas pemanfaatan Nibung dalam jumlah besar tanpa adanya kegiatan pembudidayaan, sementara Nibung hanya dapat diperoleh dari hutan alam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui distribusi spasial dan pola distribusi nibung di Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur. Metode penelitian ini dilakukan secara eksplorasi untuk menemukan titik keberadaan populasi nibung. Penggunaan drone dilakukan pada tiap titik pengamatan berguna untuk mengambil foto udara sebaran Nibung. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif dan deskriptif. Data kuantitatif untuk pengolahan pola distribusi Nibung, Analisis deskriptif dilakukan untuk menjelaskan pola distribusi Nibung. Analisis pola distribusi pohon Nibung dihitung menggunakan Indeks Morisita. Hasil penelitian lapangan ditemukan 169 rumpun Nibung, dengan rumpun terbanyak ditemukan pada Kecamatan Sadu 91 rumpun, Muara Sabak Barat 53 rumpun, Berbak dan Nipah Panjang masing-maing 10 rumpun, Rantau Rasau 3 rumpun, Kuala Jambi 2 rumpun. kesimpulan berdasarkan perhitungan Indeks Morisita Pola Distribusi Nibung memiliki keberagaman data, Muara Sabak Barat Mengelompok (Ip=0,28) Kuala Jambi acak (Ip=0), Berbak seragam (-0,97), Nipah Panjang mengelompok (Ip=0.53), Rantau Rasau seragam (-0.96), dan Sadu mengelompok (0.10). Summary Nibung (Oncosperma tigillarium) is a type of palm native to Southeast Asia, including nearly all regions of Indonesia. In Jambi Province, Nibung thrives in tidal swamp areas, such as in Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency. This tree has long been utilized by local communities, virtually every part of the Nibung can be used, from the trunk and fruit to the leaves. Currently, the availability of Nibung in the wild is declining due to extensive harvesting without cultivation efforts, while it can only be sourced from natural forests. This study aims to determine the spatial distribution and distribution pattern of the Nibung tree in Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency. The research method was conducted exploratively to identify the locations of Nibung populations. Drone usage at each observation point was employed to capture aerial photos of the Nibung distribution. Data analysis was carried out both quantitatively and descriptively. Quantitative data was used for processing the distribution pattern of the Nibung, while descriptive analysis was conducted to explain the distribution pattern of the Nibung. The distribution pattern of the Nibung tree was analyzed using the Morisita Index. The field research results found 169 Nibung clusters, with the highest number of clusters found in Sadu District (91 clusters), Muara Sabak Barat (53 clusters), Berbak and Nipah Panjang (10 clusters each), Rantau Rasau (3 clusters), and Kuala Jambi (2 clusters). Based on the Morisita Index calculation, the distribution pattern of Nibung shows variability in the data. Muara Sabak Barat is clumped (Ip = 0.28), Kuala Jambi is random (Ip = 0), Berbak is uniform (-0.97), Nipah Panjang is clumped (Ip = 0.53), Rantau Rasau is uniform (-0.96), and Sadu is clumped (Ip = 0.10).
