Abstract

Bungkil inti sawit (BIS) adalah hasil samping pengolahan minyak sawit yang dapat digunakan sebagai pakan alternatif untuk broiler karena mengandung protein kasar dan energi metabolisme yang tinggi. Namun, tingginya kandungan serat kasar, terutama fraksi mannan, dapat mengurangi kecernaan makanan dan kebutuhan nutrisi ternak. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan fermentasi dengan Bacillus cereus V9 untuk menurunkan kandungan mannan. Fermentasi ini berhasil menurunkan serat kasar, tetapi BIS masih kekurangan asam amino esensial seperti methionin dan lysin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh penambahan metionin dan lisin dalam ransum yang mengandung BIS terfermentasi terhadap bobot lemak abdominal dan organ saluran pencernaan broiler. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan pada penelitian ini adalah level pemberian methionine dan lysin yang berbeda kedalam ransum mengandung bungkil inti sawit terfermentasi. Perlakuan 0 (P0) adalah ransum kontrol (RK) yaitu ransum mengandung bungkil inti sawit terfermentasi tanpa penambahan methionin dan lysin. P1 = RK + 0,25 % lysin dan 0,25 % Methionin, P2 = RK + 0,25 % lysin dan 0,5 % Methionin, P3 = RK + 0,25 % lysin dan 0,5 % Methionin dan P4 = RK + 0,5 % lysin dan 0,5 % Methionin. Peubah yang diamati yaitu lemak abdominal dan bobot organ saluran pencernaan. Data diolah menggunakan analisis varians dengan uji lanjut Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan methionin dan lysin dalam ransum mengandung bungkil inti sawit terfermentasi berpengaruh nyata (p < 0,05) terhadap bobot lemak abdominal serta bobot organ saluran pencernaan bagian duodenum, jejenum dan ileum. Tetapi berpengaruh tidak nyata (p > 0,05) terhadap bobot proventrikulus dan ventrikulus broiler. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah penambahan asam amino methionin sebesar 0,5 % dan lysin sebanyak 0,5 % dalam ransum mengandung bungkil inti sawit terfermentasi Bacillus cereus V9 dapat menurunkan bobot lemak abdominal dan meningkatkan bobot mutlak usus halus broiler. Palm kernel meal (PKE) is a by-product of palm oil processing that can be used as an alternative feed for broilers because it contains high crude protein and metabolic energy. However, the high crude fiber content, especially the mannan fraction, can reduce feed digestibility and livestock nutritional needs. Therefore, fermentation with Bacillus cereus V9 is needed to reduce mannan content. This fermentation successfully reduced crude fiber, but PKM still lacks essential amino acids such as methionine and lysine. This study aims to see the effect of adding methionine and lysine to rations containing fermented PKM on abdominal fat weight and digestive tract organs of broilers. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatment in this study was the different levels of methionine and lysine administration into rations containing fermented PKM. Treatment 0 (P0) is a control ration (RK), namely a ration containing fermented palm kernel cake without the addition of methionine and lysine. P1 = RK + 0.25% lysine and 0.25% Methionine, P2 = RK + 0.25% lysine and 0.5% Methionine, P3 = RK + 0.25% lysine and 0.5% Methionine and P4 = RK + 0.5% lysine and 0.5% Methionine. The variables observed were abdominal fat and weight of digestive tract organs. Data were processed using analysis of variance with Duncan's advanced test. The results showed that the addition of methionine and lysine in rations containing fermented palm kernel cake had a significant effect (p <0.05) on the weight of abdominal fat and the weight of digestive tract organs in the duodenum, jejunum and ileum. But it has no significant effect (p > 0.05) on the weight of the proventriculus and ventriculus of broilers. The conclusion of this study is that the addition of amino acids methionine by 0.5% and lysine by 0.5% in rations containing fermented palm kernel cake Bacillus cereus V9 can reduce abdominal fat weight and increase the absolute weight of the small intestine of broilers
