Abstract

HUBUNGAN BOBOT KARKAS DAN DEPOT LEMAK DENGAN LUAS URAT DAGING MATA RUSUK PADA KAMBING JAWARANDU JANTAN Disajikan Oleh : Dilla Fadilah (E10021175) Dibawah Bimbingan : RA. Bulian KM 15 Mendalo Indah Jambi 36361 Email: dillaaaaaf@gmail.com RINGKASAN Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan bobot karkas dan depot lemak terhadap luas urat daging mata rusuk pada kambing Jawarandu jantan. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian sebanyak 30 ekor kambing Jawarandu jantan dengan kelompok umur I2 (2-2,5 tahun) dan I3 (3-3,5 tahun). Peubah yang akan diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah bobot karkas, depot lemak, dan luas urat daging mata rusuk. Analisis data yang digunakan analisis korelasi dan regresi linear sederhana dan berganda untuk mengetahui hubungan antara bobot karkas, depot lemak terhadap luas urat daging mata rusuk. Untuk mengetahui ketepatan rumus regresi dalam pendugaan bobot karkas dan depot lemak terhadap luas urat daging mata rusuk digunakan persentase penyimpangan. Hasil koefisien korelasi regresi linear sederhana antara bobot karkas terhadap luas urat daging mata rusuk pada kelompok umur I2 tidak berhubungan nyata (P>0,05), pada kelompok umur I3 dan kelompok umur gabungan berhubungan sangat nyata (P<0,01), sedangkan pada depot lemak terhadap luas urat daging mata rusuk tidak berhubungan nyata (P>0,05) pada semua kelompok umur. Hasil koefesien korelasi regresi linear berganda antara bobot karkas dan depot lemak dengan luas urat daging mata rusuk pada kelompok umur I2 tidak berhubungan nyata (P>0,05), pada kelompok umur I3 terdapat hubungan sangat nyata (P<0,01) dan kelompok umur gabungan terdapat hubungan nyata (P<0,05). Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan bobot karkas pada kelompok umur I3 dan gabungan dapat menduga luas urat daging mata rusuk. The materials used in this research are 30 male Jawarandu goats within age groups I2 (2-2.5 years) and I3 (3-3.5 years). The variables to be observed in this study are carcass weight, fat depot, and the area of rib meat muscle. Data analysis used correlation analysis and simple and multiple linear regression to determine the relationship between carcass weight, fat depot, and the area of rib meat muscle. To find out the accuracy of the regression formula in estimating carcass weight.The carcass weight and fat depot against the area of rib eye muscle used percentage of deviation. The results of the simple linear regression correlation coefficient between carcass weight and the area of rib eye muscle in age group I2 showed no significant relationship (P>0.05), while in age group I3 and the combined age group showed a very significant relationship (P<0.01). On the other hand, the fat depot against the area of rib eye muscle showed no significant relationship (P>0.05) in all age groups. The results of the multiple linear regression correlation coefficient between carcass weight and fat depot with the area of rib eye muscle in age group I2 showed no significant relationship (P>0.05), in age group I3 there was a very significant relationship (P<0.01), and in the combined age group there was a significant relationship (P<0.05). Based on the results and discussion, carcass weight in age group I3 and combined can predict the area of rib eye muscle. Keywords: Carcass Weight, Fat Depot, Rib Eye Muscle Area.
