Abstract
ABSTRAK Produksi duku di Provinsi Jambi mengalami penurunan signifikan dalam beberapa tahun terakhir yang disebabkan oleh usia tanaman yang sudah tua, serangan organisme pengganggu tanaman, serta kurangnya penerapan teknik budidaya yang optimal. Salah satu solusi yang dapat dilakukan adalah melalui peningkatan kualitas pertumbuhan bibit sejak dini. Dekanter solid, sebagai limbah padat dari pengolahan kelapa sawit, berpotensi sebagai pembenah tanah organik, sedangkan ekstrak bawang merah mengandung zat pengatur tumbuh alami yang mampu merangsang pertumbuhan akar tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian dekanter solid dan ekstrak bawang merah terhadap pertumbuhan bibit duku (Lansium domesticum Corr.) varietas Kumpeh, serta menentukan kombinasi perlakuan terbaik. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Teaching and Research Farm Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi selama empat bulan, menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan sembilan kombinasi perlakuan antara tiga dosis dekanter solid (0, 10, dan 15 ton/ha) dan tiga konsentrasi ekstrak bawang merah (0%, 50%, dan 100%), yang diulang sebanyak tiga kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi dekanter solid dan ekstrak bawang merah berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, panjang akar, dan bobot kering akar bibit duku. Namun, tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah daun, diameter batang, bobot kering tajuk, jumlah klorofil, dan luas daun. Perlakuan terbaik diperoleh pada kombinasi dekanter solid 10 ton/ha dengan ekstrak bawang merah 50%. Disarankan penggunaan kombinasi tersebut dalam kegiatan pembibitan duku untuk mendukung pertumbuhan awal tanaman secara optimal serta perlunya penelitian lanjutan dalam jangka waktu yang lebih panjang. Kata kunci: Duku Kumpeh, dekanter solid, ekstrak bawang merah, pertumbuhan bibit, pupuk organik ABSTRACT Duku production in Jambi Province has experienced a significant decline in recent years due to the old age of the plants, attacks by plant pests, and the lack of optimal cultivation techniques. One solution that can be done is through improving the quality of seedling growth from an early age. Solid decanters, as solid waste from palm oil processing, have the potential to be organic soil conditioners, while shallot extracts contain natural growth regulators that can stimulate plant root growth. This study aims to determine the effect of solid decanter and shallot extract on the growth of duku (Lansium domesticum Corr.) seedlings of Kumpeh variety, and to determine the best treatment combination. The study was conducted at the Teaching and Research Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jambi for four months, using a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with nine treatment combinations between three doses of solid decanter (0, 10, and 15 tons/ha) and three concentrations of shallot extract (0%, 50%, and 100%), which were repeated three times. The results showed that the combination of solid decanter and shallot extract had a very significant effect on plant height, root length, and dry weight of langsat seedling roots. However, it did not have a significant effect on the number of leaves, stem diameter, dry weight of the crown, amount of chlorophyll, and leaf area. The best treatment was obtained in the combination of 15 tons/ha solid decanter with 100% shallot extract. It is recommended to use this combination in langsat nursery activities to support optimal initial plant growth and further research is needed over a longer period of time.
