Abstract

ABSTRAK Latar Belakang : Masa remaja merupakan periode kritis perkembangan individu (10-24 tahun) yang ditandai dengan perubahan signifikan secara fisik, intelektual, dan psikologis. Pada fase ini, remaja berisiko tinggi mengalami masalah kesehatan reproduksi, terutama infeksi menular seksual (IMS). Pendidikan kesehatan di sekolah memiliki peran penting dalam memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang diperlukan bagi remaja untuk mengelola informasi kesehatan reproduksi. Media pembelajaran berupa permainan teka-teki silang interaktif dapat menjadi alternatif metode edukasi yang menarik dan efektif, karena memungkinkan siswa belajar sambil bermain sehingga menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang menyenangkan. Tujuan : Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat efektivitas edukasi permainan teka-teki silang interaktif terhadap tingkat pengetahuan remaja tentang pencegahan infeksi menular seksual pada remaja. Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Quasi Eksperimental dengan Nonequivalen Control Group Design. Jumlah sample dalam penelitiann ini sebanyak 51 responden pada kelompok ceramah dan 51 responden pada kelompok ular tangga dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Stratified Random Sampling. Dan analisis bivariat yang digunakan adalah uji non-parametrik Mann-Whitney. Hasil : Hasil penelitian didapatkan nilai p-value 0,550 sebelum intervensi, dan nilai p-value 0,001 sesudah intervensi. Kesimpulan : Terdapat perbedaan pada kelompok kontrol dan kelompok intervensi dengan edukasi kesehatan metode permainan teka-teki silang terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan remaja tentang infeksi menular seksual. Metode permainan teka-teki silang lebih efektif. Kata Kunci : Infeksi Menular Seksual, Pengetahuan, Remaja, Teka-Teki Silang ABSTRACT Background : Adolescence is a critical period of individual development (10-24 years) characterized by significant physical, intellectual, and psychological changes. During this phase, adolescents are at high risk of experiencing reproductive health problems, particularly sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Health education in schools plays an important role in providing the knowledge and skills necessary for adolescents to manage reproductive health information. Learning media in the form of interactive crossword puzzle games can serve as an attractive and effective alternative educational method, as it allows students to learn while playing, thus creating an enjoyable learning atmosphere. Objective : The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of interactive crossword puzzle game education on adolescents' knowledge levels regarding the prevention of sexually transmitted infections among teenagers. Method : This study employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental approach using a nonequivalent control group design. The sample size consisted of 51 respondents in the lecture group and 51 respondents in the crossword puzzle group, with sampling conducted using stratified random sampling technique. The bivariate analysis used was the non-parametric Mann-Whitney test. Results : The research results showed a p-value of 0.550 before intervention and a p-value of 0.001 after intervention. Conclusion : There was a difference between the control group and the intervention group with health education using the crossword puzzle game method regarding the improvement of adolescents' knowledge about sexually transmitted infections.
