Abstract

Permasalahan yang terjadi saat ini di sekolah SMP N 3 Kota Jambi bahwa karakter integritas siswa di sekolah SMP N 3 Kota Jambi masih rendah. Dari banyaknya pelanggaran yang dilakukan oleh siswa disekolah, seperti keterlambatan, membolos, dan ketidakpatuhan terhadap tata tertib yang ada di sekolah. Hal tersebutlah menyebabkan penguatan karakter integritas di sekolah belum sepenuhnya terealisasi atau belum terlaksana. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pembentukan karakter integritas siswa melalui pembelajaran PPKn di SMP N 3 Kota Jambi. Serta mengetahui apa faktor – faktor pendorong dan penghambat dalam pembentukan karakter integritas siswa melalui pembelajaran PPKn di SMP N 3 Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP N 3 Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP N 3 Kota Jambi, dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dokumentasi, yang ditujukan untuk mendapatkan gambaran menyeluruh tentang pembentukan karakter integritas siswa melalui pembelajaran PPKn di SMP N 3 Kota Jambi. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan Pembentukan karakter integritas siswa di SMP N 3 Kota Jambi melalui pembelajaran PPKn telah berjalan dengan baik, meskipun masih menghadapi tantangan dalam penerapannya. Kejujuran telah diajarkan melalui penguatan nilai, bimbingan, serta kebijakan sekolah, namun masih terdapat kesenjangan antara pemahaman dan praktik di kalangan siswa, seperti kebiasaan mencontek. Prinsip keadilan juga telah ditanamkan melalui aktivitas sosial dan penguatan sikap saling menghargai, meskipun beberapa siswa masih sulit bersikap adil terhadap teman yang dianggap sebagai saingan. Keteladanan guru dan kepala sekolah memberikan contoh nyata bagi siswa, namun konsistensi siswa dalam meniru perilaku positif tersebut masih perlu diperkuat. Selain itu, tanggung jawab osial siswa sudah cukup baik, tetapi tanggung jawab akademik masih menjadi antangan karena beberapa siswa sering terlambat atau tidak menyelesaikan tugas. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya yang lebih konsisten dan kolaboratif antara guru, sekolah, dan orang tua agar nilai-nilai integritas tidak hanya dipahami, tetapi juga terinternalisasi dan tercermin dalam perilaku sehari-hari siswa. Here is the English translation of your research summary in a clear and academic style: --- The current issue faced by SMP N 3 Kota Jambi is the low level of student integrity, as reflected in various violations such as tardiness, truancy, and non-compliance with school rules. This indicates that the efforts to strengthen students' integrity have not been fully realized. This study aims to explore how the character of student integrity is developed through the teaching of Civics Education (PPKn), and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in this process. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation to obtain a comprehensive picture of the formation of student integrity through PPKn learning. The results show that while the development of student integrity through PPKn has been implemented quite well, several challenges remain. The value of honesty is instilled through guidance and school policies, yet a gap persists between understanding and actual behavior, such as the habit of cheating. The principle of justice is taught through social activities and the cultivation of mutual respect, although some students still struggle to act fairly toward peers they consider rivals. Teachers and school leaders provide good role models, but consistent imitation of this positive behavior by students still needs improvement. Social responsibility among students is fairly good, but academic responsibility remains a challenge, with many students frequently arriving late or failing to complete assignments.
