Abstract

Penelitian ini yang berjudul kritik sosial dalam lirik lagu album Tanbiat karya Sembilu betujuan untuk mengungkap kritik sosial dan modus dalam lirik lagu album Tanbiat karya Sembilu. Menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data pada penelitian ini berupa kritik sosial. Sumber data pada penelitian ini bersumber dari platform streaming musik Spotify milik Sembilu. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi yang diperoleh dari media streaming musik Spotify. Lirik lagu yang ada kemudian di unduh sebagai bentuk hasil dari teknik dokumentasi. Penelitian ini mengandung beberapa kritik sosial yang ditemukan dalam lirik lagu Album Tanbiat Karya Sembilu meliputi kritik sosial kemiskinan, kritik sosial kejahatan, kritik sosial peperangan dan kritik sosial masalah lingkungan hidup. Data kritik sosial yang mendominasi lirik lagu Sembilu yaitu kritik sosial masalah lingkungan hidup karena Sembilu merasa lingkungan adalah kekasihnya yang harus dirawat hingga akhir hayat. Penelitian ini juga menjumpai modus yang digunakan Sembilu dalam menulis kritik sosialnya yakni modus sinisme. Temuan penelitian ini menjelakan bahwa kritik sosial yang ada dalam lirik lagu Sembilu berfungsi sebagai media untuk mengkiritik persoalan yang sedang terjadi di masyarakat. Dikombinasian dengan modus atau gaya bahasa sinisme yang mencolok dan kasar, membuat kegiatan kritik sosial yang dilakukan Sembilu menjadi lebih akurat karena mampu memberikan efek sindiran secara langsung. This study entitled social criticism in the lyrics of the Tanbiat album by Sembilu aims to reveal social criticism and modes in the lyrics of the Tanbiat album by Sembilu. Using a qualitative descriptive method. The data in this study are in the form of social criticism. The data source in this study comes from Sembilu's Spotify music streaming platform. The data collection method uses documentation techniques obtained from the Spotify music streaming media. The existing song lyrics are then downloaded as a form of the results of the documentation technique. This study contains several social criticisms found in the lyrics of the Tanbiat Album by Sembilu including social criticism of poverty, social criticism of crime, social criticism of war and social criticism of environmental problems. The data on social criticism that dominates Sembilu's song lyrics is social criticism of environmental problems because Sembilu feels that the environment is his lover who must be cared for until the end of his life. This study also found the mode used by Sembilu in writing his social criticism, namely the mode of cynicism. The findings of this study explain that the social criticism in Sembilu's song lyrics functions as a medium to criticize problems that are currently occurring in society. Combined with a striking and crude cynical mode or style of language, Sembilu's social criticism activities become more accurate because they are able to provide a direct satirical effect.
