Kata Kunci: Civic competence, Kesadaran Hukum, Berlalu Lintas Kesadaran hukum berlalu lintas merupakan cerminan dari sejauh mana individu memahami, menerima, dan mematuhi aturan hukum dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Pada kalangan pelajar, perilaku berlalu lintas yang tidak sesuai aturan menunjukkan perlunya pemahaman yang lebih mendalam mengenai hukum. Pada konteks pendidikan kewarganegaraan, civic competence menjadi perspektif yang tepat untuk mengkaji bagaimana siswa membentuk kesadaran terhadap hukum berlalu lintas. Civic competence mencakup pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap kewarganegaraan yang berfungsi sebagai dasar dalam berperilaku sesuai hukum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesadaran hukum berlalu lintas siswa ditinjau dari perspektif civic competence di SMA Negeri 3 Bungo. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik purposive sampling dalam pemilihan informan. Informan terdiri dari tujuh siswa kelas X dan XI sebagai informan utama, satu guru Pendidikan Pancasila sebagai informan kunci, serta satu wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum sebagai informan tambahan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, yang kemudian dianalisis dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa civic competence siswa di SMA Negeri 3 Bungo masih berada pada tingkat yang bervariasi. Aspek civic knowledge sebagian besar siswa tergolong baik dalam hal memahami aturan dasar, namun belum memahami aturan formal seperti undang-undang lalu lintas. Pada aspek civic skills, siswa mampu menunjukkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan menyebutkan dampak dan solusi dari pelanggaran lalu lintas, dan menunjukkan partisipasi aktif dalam menciptakan ketertiban pada kegiatan sosialisasi dan ekstrakurikuler mengenai lalu lintas. Sedangkan pada aspek civic disposition, sebagian besar siswa hanya patuh jika ada pengawasan, dan belum menunjukkan sikap sadar hukum yang berasal dari dalam diri. Kesimpulannya, civic competence siswa yang belum sepenuhnya berkembang berdampak langsung pada rendahnya kesadaran hukum berlalu lintas. Kesadaran hukum siswa belum terbentuk secara menyeluruh karena aspek keterampilan dan sikap masih bergantung pada faktor eksternal.   ABSTRACT Fitriani, Aida Nur 2025. Keywords: Civic competence, Legal Awareness, Traffic Traffic law awareness is a reflection of the extent to which individuals understand, accept, and obey the rules of law in everyday life. Among students, traffic behavior that is not in accordance with the rules indicates the need for a deeper understanding of the law. In the context of civic education, civic competence is the right perspective to examine how students form awareness of traffic law. Civic competence includes knowledge, skills, and citizenship attitudes that function as a basis for behaving in accordance with the law. This study aims to analyze students' traffic law awareness from the perspective of civic competence at SMA Negeri 3 Bungo. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a purposive sampling technique in selecting informants. The informants consisted of seven students in grades X and XI as the main informants, one Pancasila Education teacher as the key informant, and one vice principal for curriculum as an additional informant. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation, which were then analyzed with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that the civic competence of students at SMA Negeri 3 Bungo was still at varying levels. The civic knowledge aspect of most students was classified as good in terms of understanding basic rules, but did not yet understand formal rules such as traffic laws. In terms of civic skills, students were able to demonstrate critical thinking skills by mentioning the impacts and solutions to traffic violations, and showed active participation in creating order in socialization and extracurricular activities regarding traffic. While in terms of civic disposition, most students only obeyed if there was supervision, and had not shown an attitude of legal awareness that came from within themselves. In conclusion, students' civic competence that has not fully developed has a direct impact on low awareness of traffic laws. Students' legal awareness has not been formed comprehensively because aspects of skills and attitudes still depend on external factors.
