Abstract
Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemberian temu putih (Curcuma zedeoria) dan tepung daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) dalam ransum terhadap bobot organ pencernaan broiler. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan selama 35 hari dari bulan Agustus sampai dengan bulan September 2022 yang bertempat di kandang percobaan ternak unggas Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Jambi dan Laboratorium Universitas Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan DOC (Day Old Chicken) ayam pedaging sejumlah 200 ekor strain MB 202 yang diberikan ransum basal, kemudian ditambahkan campuran antara temu putih (Curcuma zedeoria) dan tepung daun kelor (Moringa oleifera). Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Variabel yang diamati yaitu konsumsi ransum, bobot potong, bobot relatif proventrikulus, bobot relatif usus, bobot relatif gizzard, dan bobot relatif pankreas. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian campuran tanaman herbal dalam ransum tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi ransum, bobot potong, bobot relatif proventrikulus, bobot relatif usus, bobot relatif gizzard, dan bobot relatif pankreas broiler sampai umur 5 minggu. Disimpulkan bahwa pemberian campuran tanaman herbal dalam ransum tidak mempengaruhi dalam meningkatkan organ pencernaan ayam broiler. Kata Kunci: ayam broiler, temu putih, daun kelor, dan organ pencernaan Abstract This study aimed to determine the effects of white turmeric (Curcuma zedoaria) and Moringa leaf powder (Moringa oleifera) supplementation in the diet on the digestive organ weights of broilers. The research was conducted for 35 days, from August to September 2022, at the Poultry Experimental Cage of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, University of Jambi, and the University of Jambi Laboratory. The study used 200 Day-Old-Chick (DOC) broilers of the MB 202 strain, which were given a basal diet supplemented with a mixture of white turmeric (Curcuma zedoaria) and Moringa leaf powder (Moringa oleifera). The experiment was arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The observed variables included feed consumption, slaughter weight, relative weight of proventriculus, relative weight of intestines, relative weight of gizzard, and relative weight of pancreas. The results showed that the inclusion of the herbal plant mixture in the diet had no significant effect (P>0.05) on feed consumption, slaughter weight, relative weight of proventriculus, relative weight of intestines, relative weight of gizzard, and relative weight of pancreas in broilers up to 5 weeks of age. It can be concluded that the supplementation of the herbal plant mixture in the diet did not enhance the development of the digestive organs of broiler chickens.
