Abstract

ABSTRAK LATAR BELAKANG Setiap organisasi membutuhkan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM), yaitu kontribusi pegawai guna mencapai keunggulan organisasi. Kontribusi pegawai dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya peran psychological well-being. Salah satu faktor yang menjaga psychological well-being pegawai ialah rasa aman pada pekerjaannya. Ketika pegawai mengalami keadaan psikologis dimana ia merasakan ancaman atau diliputi rasa khawatir tentang keberlanjutan pekerjaannya di masa mendatang, hal tersebut merupakan salah satu ciri-ciri job insecurity. TUJUAN Untuk mengetahui bagaimana hubungan antara job insecurity dengan psychological well-being pada pegawai Instansi X di Provinsi Jambi. METODE Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pegawai Instansi X di Provinsi Jambi yang berjumlah 48 responden dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu total sampling menggunakan kuesioner. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala job insecurity dari De Witte, dkk (2008) dan skala psychological well-being dari Ryff (1989). HASIL Data tidak terdistribusi normal sehingga analisis data menggunakan Spearman’s Rho dengan hasil adanya hubungan antara job insecurity dan psychological well-being (r = -0.370, p<0.005). Selain itu ada hubungan antara job insecurity dan dimensi-dimensi psychological well-being, yaitu self-acceptance (r = -0.362, p<0.006), positive relations with others (r = -0.378, p<0.004), autonomy (r = -0.275, p<0.029), environmental mastery (r = -0.382, p<0.004), purpose in life (r = -0.248, p<0.045), dan personal growth (r = -0.256, p<0.040). KESIMPULAN Terdapat hubungan negatif signifikan antara job insecurity dan psychological well-being pada pegawai Instansi X di Provinsi Jambi dimana semakin tinggi job insecurity yang dimiliki maka semakin rendah psychological well-being yang dimiliki. Terdapat juga hubungan negatif signifikan antara job insecurity dan dimensi-dimensi psychological well-being pada pegawai Instansi X di Provinsi Jambi, yaitu self-acceptance, positive relations with others, autonomy, environmental mastery, purpose in life, dan personal growth. Kata Kunci : Job Insecurity, Psychological Well-Being, Pegawai ABSTRACT BACKGROUND Every organization needs human resources (HR), namely employee contributions to achieve organizational excellence. Employee contributions are underpinned by the importance of psychological well-being. One factor that maintains employees' psychological well-being is a sense of job security. When employees experience a psychological state where they feel threatened or overwhelmed by concerns about the sustainability of their jobs in the future, this is one of the characteristics of job insecurity. RESEARCH OBJECTIVES To find out the relationship between job insecurity and psychological well-being among employees of Agency X in Jambi Province. METHODE This study used a quantitative correlation method. The population in this study were 48 employees of Agency X in Jambi Province, with a sampling technique of total sampling using questionnaires. Data collection used the job insecurity scale from De Witte, et al. (2008) and the psychological well-being scale from Ryff (1989). RESULTS The data was not normally distributed, so Spearman's Rho was used for data analysis, with the results showed a relationship between job insecurity and psychological well-being (r = -0.370, p<0.005). Additionally, there is a relationship between job insecurity and the dimensions of psychological well-being, namely self-acceptance (r = -0.362, p<0.006), positive relations with others (r = -0.378, p<0.004), autonomy (r = -0.275, p<0.029), environmental mastery (r = -0.382, p<0.004), purpose in life (r = -0.248, p<0.045), and personal growth (r = -0.256, p<0.040). CONCLUSION There is a significant negative relationship between job insecurity and psychological well-being among employees of the Agency X in Jambi Province, where higher job insecurity is associated with lower psychological well-being. There is also a significant negative relationship between job insecurity and the dimensions of psychological well-being among employees of the Agency X in Jambi Province, namely self-acceptance, positive relations with others, autonomy, environmental mastery, purpose in life, and personal growth.
