Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah : 1) Untuk mengetahui bagaimana kebutuhan petani benih kentang bersertifikat di Kecamatan Kayu Aro Kabupaten Kerinci. 2) Mengetahui penggunaan benih kentang bersertifikat di Kecamatan Kayu Aro Kabupaten Kerinci. 3) Mengetahui hubungan antara kebutuhan petani dengan penggunaan benih kentang bersertifikat di Kecamatan Kayu Aro Kabupaten Kerinci. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 2 Maret 2025 Sampai 5 April 2025, di Kecamatan Kayu Aro Kabupaten Kerinci. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriftif dan analisis uji chi-square dengan kontigensi 2×2. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa : 1) Kebutuhan petani benih kentang bersertifikat di Kecamatan Kayu Aro Kabupaten Kerinci tergolong tinggi dengan persentase: Kebutuhan Keberadaan (exsistence) 66,67%, Kebutuhan Keterhubungan (relatedness) 61%, dan Kebutuhan pertumbuhan (growth) 72,2%. 2.) Tingkat penggunaan benih kentang bersertifikat di kecamatan Kayu Aro Kabupaten Kerinci tergolong tinggi dengan persentase 72,2%. 3) Berdasarkan hasil uji chi-square diperoleh bahwa terdapat hubungan yang nyata antara kebutuhan petani dengan penggunaan benih kentang bersertifikat di Kecamatan Kayu Aro kebupaten Kerinci. Kata Kunci : Kebutuhan, Penggunaan Benih, Benih Bersertifikat ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is: 1) To find out the needs of certified potato seed farmers in Kayu Aro District, Kerinci Regency. 2) To find out the use of certified potato seeds in Kayu Aro District, Kerinci Regency. 3) To find out the relationship between farmers' needs and the use of certified potato seeds in Kayu Aro District, Kerinci Regency. This study was conducted on March 2, 2025 to April 5, 2025, in Kayu Aro District, Kerinci Regency. The analysis method used is descriptive analysis and chi-square test analysis with 2×2 contingency. The results of the study show that: 1) The need for certified potato seed farmers in Kayu Aro District, Kerinci Regency is relatively high with a percentage of: Existence Needs 66.67%, Relatedness Needs 61%, and Growth Needs 72.2%. 2.) The level of use of certified potato seeds in Kayu Aro District, Kerinci Regency is relatively high with a percentage of 72.2%. 3) Based on the results of the chi-square test, it was found that there was a significant relationship between farmers' needs and the use of certified potato seeds in Kayu Aro District, Kerinci Regency.
