Abstract

ABSTRAK Keanekaragaman wisata Indonesia yang meliputi keindahan alam, budaya, dan destinasi wisata modern menjadi nilai jual utama bagi wisatawan internasional. Namun, nilai tukar rupiah yang stabil atau menguntungkan akan memperkuat daya saing Indonesia sebagai destinasi wisata global karena wisatawan asing mendapatkan nilai lebih dari pengeluaran mereka di Indonesia. Dengan demikian, fluktuasi nilai tukar rupiah berperan penting dalam menentukan tingkat kunjungan wisatawan asing ke berbagai destinasi wisata di Indonesia. Stabilitas dan nilai tukar yang kompetitif dapat mendorong pertumbuhan sektor pariwisata yang beragam dan berkontribusi pada perekonomian nasional. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini mencoba untuk menganalisis hubungan signifikan antara variabel kurs dengan kinerja sektor pariwisata, dengan judul penelitian Analisis Kurs Rupiah Per Dollar Amerika Serikat dan Pengaruhnya Terhadap Kinerja Sektor Pariwisata. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis perkembangan dan pengaruh Kurs dengan kinerja Sektor Pariwisata melalui Jumlah Wisatawan, Penerimaan Devisa Pariwisata dan PDB Sektor Pariisata di Indonesia pada periode tahun 2000-2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan data runtun waktu (time series), periode penelitian dari tahun 2000-2023. Alat analisis yang digunakan dalam menentukan ada tidaknya pengaruh antara Kurs terhadap Kinerja Sektor Pariwisata dalam penelitian ini adalah Uji Kausalitas Granger dan Analisis Estimasi VAR dengan metode analisis dengan pengolahan data Vector Autoreggression (VAR). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan signifikan satu arah dari Kurs terhadap Jumlah Wisatawan dan Penerimaan Devisa Pariwisata, yang berarti pergerakan naik turunnya nilai Kurs rupiah akan mempengaruhi meningkat atau menurunnya Jumlah Wisatawan Asing dan Penerimaan Devisa Pariwisata. Sebaliknya dari hasil pengujian VAR pada penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa tidak adanya hubungan secara langsung antara Kurs terhadap PDB Sektor Pariwisata, yang artinya naik turunnya nilai Kurs tidak mempengaruhi meningkat atau menurunnya angka PDB Sektor Pariwisata. Abstract The diversity of Indonesian tourism which includes natural beauty, culture, and modern tourist destinations is a major selling point for international tourists. However, a stable or favorable rupiah exchange rate will strengthen Indonesia's competitiveness as a global tourist destination because foreign tourists get more value from their spending in Indonesia. Thus, fluctuations in the rupiah exchange rate play an important role in determining the level of foreign tourist visits to various tourist destinations in Indonesia. Stability and competitive tourism value can encourage the growth of a diverse tourism sector and contribute to the national economy. Therefore, this study attempts to analyze the significant relationship between the variable exchange rate with the performance of the tourism sector, with the title of research analysis of the Rupiah exchange rate Per United States Dollar and its influence on the performance of the tourism sector. The purpose of this study to analyze the development and influence of the exchange rate with the performance of the tourism sector through the number of tourists, Tourism foreign exchange earnings and GDP of the tourism sector in Indonesia in the period 2000-2023. This study uses time series data, the research period from 2000-2023. The analysis tool used in determining whether or not the influence of the exchange rate on the performance of the tourism sector in this study is the Granger causality test and analysis of VAR estimates by the method of analysis with Vector Autoreggression (VAR) data processing. The results of the study showed that there is a significant one-way relationship of the exchange rate to the number of tourists and tourism foreign exchange earnings, which means that the movement of up and down the value of the rupiah exchange rate will affect the increase or decrease in the number of foreign tourists and tourism foreign exchange earnings. On the contrary, the results of the VAR test in this study show that there is no direct relationship between the exchange rate and the tourism sector GDP, which means that the rise and fall of the exchange rate does not affect the increase or decrease in the tourism sector GDP.
